“This school has been part of our extended family over the past 5 years. We currently have 1 child in the preschool program and 2 kids in the school program. We use it as an adjunct to our homeschooling and it is perfect. The school is a breath of fresh air in a world that is overly concerned with standardized tests and benchmarks. Instead, the emphasis is in developing great kids and honoring them where they are. We love this school!”

“Is this place still open? I went here when I was a really young lad more than 10 years ago when I was 3. If it is, I want to thank this place for helping me out when I was so young. I was "special" to say the least, and this place helped me a lot. I now function normally in social situations and stuff like that, and I'm so grateful I went here. I hope you see this review :)”

“Alumni here. Prairie High School was a pretty great school to attend. Most teachers loved to teach and facilitate growth in their students as they prepared for the real world. I see quite a few comments from students/former students whom don't appear to have matured past thinking that school sucks, and their lives are miserable, but this school is certainly one I would send my kids to in the future. Mr. Drake, the current Administrator/Principal of the school has a wonderful spirit matched only by few, and those few can also be found working right alongside him at PHS. This school has outstanding athletics and JROTC programs, as well as many other extra-curricular teams and activities. Overall a great school, with plenty of power to put behind a well motivated student. Some of my graduating classmates, through their own dedication, and the help of counselors at Prairie, have made it into schools such as UCLA, Westpoint, USAFA, and even Harvard.”

“Love this school district. Still smaller community, although bigger than when i was a student. Teachers and families all still know eachother and look out for eachother”

“Okay, please stop writing bad things about this school. I go here and it is amazing the people are awesome. ya, there might be drama. but there is drama everywhere you go so shut up besides look at Gaisar, my cousin got jumped there. this school is better than my old one's. they are kind, and helpful and do not deserve hate over a few people. so go away if you have nothing nice to say about this school. because even though it may be poor in money its average in human value. so don't be upset if its not perfect.”

“The school is a small, non-denominational, Christian school that offers Pre-K through 12th grade. There is a strong emphasis on academic excellence. The school is fully ASCI accredited and it's pupils have consistently placed high to very high in State wide testing. We have had our child enrolled at FFCS since kindergarten and he will continue there through graduation in three more years. We believe it offers a superior education experience. The staff and teachers are dedicated to the students' growth and are responsive to parental concerns.”

“Our daughter goes here and they have such a great support system. She says bullying is not tolerated and the staff seem to truly care. The work seems challenging without being impossible. The principal and vice principal are amazing (how often do you see kids run to hug their principals?) and I think my daughter will be sad to leave. Have no reservations about our youngest daughter going here when she is older.”

“As a staff member, I see the hard work and dedication put in by everyone: the administrators, the office staff, and especially the teachers. I've taught at a lot of schools in the area and this one really shines. Jim Fernandez and his team of educators truly have the best interest of all their kids in mind through every decision they make.”

“I have never attended a more welcoming church as Father Tom’s Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. I have found both services, the early morning traditional service and the 2nd less formal service, equally enjoyable, instructive and comfortable to attend. The music is top notch and there are multiple opportunities to grow through participation and service if you are interested in getting to know the folks there a little better. I invite everyone who is looking to deepen their spirituality with a friendly, nurturing and active congregation to visit Good Shepherd Episcopal. Though I don’t attend every week, Good Shepherd will remain my adopted church home. Caryl Lyn Taylor”

“Our boys have taken private guitar, bass and drum lessons at Opus for three years. When our oldest began, we had to really get after him to practice 15 minutes a day. Then, one day it clicked and guitar has become his passion. His instrument is always in his hands or at his side, EVEN for easy access to squeeze in when playing video games with friends. This progression has been so fun to watch as a parent. He has been learning with Garrett from the beginning and they work really well together. He has also participated in Opus' group band a few times a year with a performance at the end of each session. It has given him experience playing in front of an audience and working, learning and growing with a group. The last performance had to be remote, and this opened up a whole new learning opportunity for him - using software to do his own home recordings that could be used to be put together with the others. It stretched him and it was neat to see him learn a new skill. My other son has enjoyed learning drums from Jim. He has been positive, patient, encouraging and has a great sense of humor. It is evident he's passionate about music. Rob and Linda are great to work with. Both friendly and communicative, they have been a breath of fresh air to work with, especially as we all were trying to figure out how to navigate recent lockdowns and constantly changing state regulations with recent events. Definitely recommend!”
