We come here every year to take Christmas photos with Charlie and feed the other alpacas. Charlie gets tired closer to the end of the day so make sure you take pictures first. There is a gift shop with alpaca socks, gloves, hats, ornaments, sweaters, scarves, shawls, etc. Remember to also give the dogs some love. They don't get enough ❤️
Their Christmas event (Fleece Navidad) is always a hit!! Charlie is a sweetheart and makes for beautiful Christmas photos. Bring a cash donation or good for the food bank to pose with him and their Christmas backdrop (new every year)
The animals are so sweet and you can buy a bag of food for just a few dollars ($3 today). It's enough for about 20 minutes of feeding fun. The alpacas snuffle it out of your palm and make for great photos.
The gift shop has a variety of alpaca fleece products like hats, mitts, scarves, sweaters, and fleece plushies. They also have a wide array of yarn and a selection of hand-knit hats from their very own herd and another local farm. You can even get a selfie with the animal your product is from (their yarn is all labled with the specific alpaca the fleece is from).
This year they added a mother's day event and I was just told today that it'll be even better in 2023!
Their guard dogs are also the sweetest animals ever and will gladly take whatever affection you're willing to bestow on them.
Highly recommended the tour! You can tell the passion for alpacas/lamas from the owner. All the animals are very well taken care. When you get the package of the tour, you get the introduction of the farm, products, you can hand feed the alpacas inside the farm. It's very fun.
Alpacas seem under good care, very friendly farm staff, can buy treats to feed the animals. They also offer brief treat tutorial session. 🦙
It was a unique experience and a wonderful way to spend some time upclose to these beautiful animals. They are so sweet and gentle. I learned so much during my visit. You can see how much they are loved and cared for. I enjoyed talking to Shari and her delightful mom.
