“Amazing hardwood service! Henry's Hardwood does excellent quality work at a great price. They respond very quickly, gave a clear and fair quote, and performed excellent work. I used them to refinish the original 1960s Oak under my carpets as well as install new, matching Oak in the adjacent room. They explained the process to me, and helped me choose a stain and finish (I used Swedish finish). They were flexible about scheduling the job, and they took care of my house while I was away (since it is not safe to be home after finishing with Swedish finish). I highly recommend them!”

“Just moved to the neighborhood and this already a spot my roommates and I frequent. We love the Banh Mi here (our favorite is the pork one) and all the food is good. The tea flavors are really strong though but it's not a problem at all, since once we get home we just pour some into a cup and add more milk - makes it last longer and definitely our money's worth.”

“We had such a wonderful experience at The Dane. The sandwiches are delicious! The beer is amazing (and local) and the staff were so sweet. They found out we were on our honeymoon and brought us a warm cookie to celebrate. This place is great!!!”

“Solid coffee shop close to the beach! The barista was chill and pleasant, told me about how you can walk from Golden Gardens to Carkeek park when the tide goes out, but you have to catch it at just the right time.”

“I first heard of Jewel Cafe because I am a frequent visitor to Jewel Box Cafe up in Northgate (the one at Thornton Place). This location is owned by the same lovely people. This location is in a good spot, since it is right next to the Mt. Baker light rail station and major bus routes. This is important to me since the cafe general manager allowed me to hang up my art for the month. This is something this cafe will do every month. Such an awesome opportunity for local artists! Overall, highly recommend the food and drinks, they have sandwiches, breakfast wraps/sandwiches, bubble tea, tea, coffee, and more!”

“Honor is an experienced pastry chef and a lovely, warm hostess. I'm thrilled to have her excellent patisserie in our neighborhood. It's a charming place to go with friends for coffee and a delectability. Or two or three. I'm working my way through the pastry offerings, and everything has been delicious.”

“Impeccable coffee, and priced rather nicely too. Their food is excellent as well, and the service is friendly and professional. Diva is also doing very well with masking, limiting interior seating, and social distancing. They even provide disinfectant wipes for you to clean your table before and after you are seated. 5/5 stars, highly recommended.”

“Great teachers, disciplined, attentive, kids having fun. Couldn't ask for anything more. Also since we're in the midst of a pandemic I was extremely hesitant about trying this now but the frequent cleaning, social distancing, sanitizing were better than any I've seen or could have imagined. Great place!”

“These wonderful people always do a great job. Very polite and even funny as they usually put the most colorful personality at the window. We appreciate that. The lady at the window this morning is one of the best for sure. I wish I had her name. Thank you guys for saving my life every time I visit. I would die without coffee :) Keep up the good work.”

Staff is friendly and they have some sweet outdoor seating. Take advantage of the hot COVID summer and get a sandwich and iced coffee to eat outside! It's almost like we can live normally!”

“I appreciate that along with the remodel of the Nordic Museum they put importance on including a quality café to bolster the museum experience. Unfortunately, while Nordic immigrants have a deep history in Seattle, places that serve Nordic foods are few and far between. Freya is a nice addition to Nordic food in the area. They have a small selection of dishes but they are good representation of some of the foods popular in the Nordic countries. I ordered one of the Danish dogs which is their take on a Danish hot dog. I’ve been to Copenhagen and Danish hot dogs are delicious especially with the remoulade and fried onions. Freya Café’s version I believe uses PNW ingredients and combines it nicely with the Danish concept. The Uli’s sausage was tasty and the curry mayo sauce added mellow spice. The pretzel bun rounded out the flavors nicely as well. As a side note, the older gentleman who brought the food out seemed very kind and personable as well. Freya Café is definitely a place I would just visit even if I wasn't going to the museum.”
