“I was surprised with a gift certificate for a 1 hr training flight and just did it this weekend. It was amazing and everything I hoped it would be. I got to sit in the main left pilots seat while instructor Matt was in the right seat. (Matt was a great guy BTW!) We spent time before the flight getting to know the Cessna 172 aircraft and what is done on a preflight inspection. He did the heavy lifting of course with take off and landing but I was able to take the controls for about 20 minutes. It was completely amazing feeling that I hope to duplicate with more lessons. Thank you for a very memorable day!”

“Seattle Colleges serves all of metropolitan Seattle and its surrounding communities and comprises the largest community college district in the state, educating more than 45,000 students each year. The first classes were held in the Edison Vocational Technical Institute on Capitol Hill, when Seattle Community College—now Seattle Central College—opened in 1966 as part of the public school system. The State Community College Act of 1967 established college districts apart from the public schools, with a mandate to provide an open door to education for all who seek it. A long-range plan called for three campuses in the city, and planning began immediately for North Seattle College and South Seattle College. “Just west of Parking Lot E16 is the entrance to a beautiful short “marsh walk” loop that takes you down to the lake on a planked sidewalk. Lots of marsh plants, birds— I’ve seen ducks and gulls, a pair of herons, and a variety of birds I can’t label, as I’m not a birder— and when you get to the water there are frequently turtles sunning on logs and small fish jumping for insects, plus frogs singing their rivetting songs. It’s worth going a minimum of four times, once per season, although more is better!”

“Excellent flight training, truly THE Cirrus Training Experts! I completed their 21 day nothing to PPL course and passed my check ride all inside 6 weeks, then rolled right on to my Instrument course. That took another 14 days over 3 weeks with a checkride passed first time at the end. Price agreed up front, books and materials provided - I did my part and they did theirs. “Inclusion here or freedom from limitation because of disability, looks good on this campus. From what I could easily see for example, the very safe and ideally appropriate dedicated bike lane also serves as a much more satisfying path for wheelchair users. Witnessing an in motion motorized wheel chair free from congested street traffic, and freedom from navigating jarring bumps in the sidewalk was nicely inspiring and encouraging! Thanks.”
