(September 2, 2021, 1:16 am)It's the only Russian Orthodox church where I can pray in solitude 🙏 I do appreciate Fathers to let me light candles in any time of my visit, though not every Russian Orthodox church in US is nice about it. I love that it's in the middle of the forest and not in a middle of the city as I'm used to. I always buy soaps that they are making, they have coffee (Abbott blend is a must), bibles, icons, etc.
(June 21, 2021, 3:22 pm)Had a great time visiting the monastery for a few days! The monks were very friendly and wise. The views were also amazing! Great place for a retreat from everyday life.
(May 17, 2021, 8:45 pm)All of the monks are converts. The monastery is nestled in a small forest on Vashon Island. I stayed overnight and had a wonderful visit. The peaceful atmosphere is good for anyone seeking the transcendent.
