“Wonderful small local park. The gazebo is pleasant and the tennis courts are usually open.”
Address: 402 N High Point Rd, Madison, WI 53717, USA
“It's a nice little park along the side of the beltline near Old Sauk. Very flat, so not a destination for wintertime sledding. It could use a bathroom. But it has a nice playground and a large field with soccer goals. Also a covered pavilion for picnicking or birthday parties that you can reserve in advance. With little kids it can be fun to explore the plants and wildflowers that grow along the western edge of the park right up against the beltline wall. Plenty of street parking along High Point. Never crowded.”

“It's a cute little park with a climbing wall. Better for kids 6 and under than older kids. Google maps sent us through Brighton Square Apartments parking lot to get there, which works, but isn't convenient. You can drive right to it on Rockwood and park on the street directly in front of it.”

“" NO DOGS" This is a beautiful bird sanctuary & Conservation Park that is clearly marked "NO DOGS" . Pets on a leash are welcome around part of Strickers Pond but NOT in the Wooded Conservation Park which is clearly marked. Habitat is affected by dogs since wildlife perceive dogs as predictors, even those dogs on a leash. This reduces natures way for wildlife to survive and raise their young while limiting wildlife viewing experiences for everyone. Dog scent repels wildlife with lingering impacts. There are many areas in Dane County where dogs are welcome but Conservation parks such as Strickers Pond & the Arbetum are some of the few remaining areas for Audubon members to enjoy nesting habitats for migrating & nesting birds such as Cranes. Try Tiedeman Pond which has a walking path all the way around it & has no restrictions for leashed pets yet is minutes from Strickers Pond on Voss Parkway.”

“This area is a great asset to the neighborhood. Nice walking path through the relatively undisturbed woods. Relatively short hike from one end to the other, maybe 10-15 min. We were going the speed of a 3 year old so maybe you'd get through faster.”

“Big open flat field, hiking trails with a geocache, and somewhat unique play equipment even if the playground is small. The blacktop on the basketball court is in need of repair and probably not good for much.”

“We love to take long walks here. There are paved trails and grass trails. I enjoy the many kinds of plants, insects, and animals that are around. Lots of wild raspberries, wildflowers and milkweed. Also many monarch butterflies and red winged blackbirds. are bicycles going very fast along the trails but they are usually very respectful of pedestrians.”

“This is a great park with a very nice basketball court. One of the best features is that the playground is in the shade for most of the day and the slides don't get hot. The swings are usually in full sun.”

“Stopped for about the last 1/2 hour, because a friend told me it was one of the MANY places for Make Music Madison today. It's a nice small park a couple of blocks off of Raymond Rd with a large covered shelter, playground and large area to run around or play group games. MTrane Plus was playing, nice music. They had had a community dinner earlier. People seemed to be enjoying themselves.”
