“I dropped in by chance, just Google Maps finding because I was in the area and outside of my county, so no idea what I was going to find. I had in several countries (not counties) and locations a broad range of experiences when dealing with gun shops, I am very happy to say, Max Creek Outdoors is a little gem. From the moment I parked in the back parking (too many cars parked in the front one), I could see the building was serious. The entrance is a kind of unassuming, so I entered with no idea what was expecting me: some time you see a shop that looks like more a supermarket, sometimes you can tell immediately it means business. I spotted a selection that made me feel I was in the right place. Then I worried about the attitude of the staff, also considering the shop was pretty full of customers, and the contingent situations of COVID and recent social tension. I understand shops more than usual may face weirdos, so they try to do a bit of screening. Staff, in particular the owner, were simply GREAT. He made sure to understand our concerns, provided guidance and advice (all SO correct and thoughtful, so I understand he knew his business), he even kindly arranged to have my wife and me test similar models in the range, so we could make a more educated purchase. Our experience was memorable and VERY POSITIVE. I strongly recommend Max Creek Outdoors.”
