“I've been going to Whitnall Park ever since I was a little kid. This park has amazingly beautiful gardens, according to various plant species, with creatively designed landscapes, walkways, rolling hills, tall pines, spacious picnic areas and a long, winding pathway of roads for driving, biking, walking, etc. There's an excellent gift shop with local artistry for sale and a hall available for weddings. I highly recommended Whitnall Park for everyone to enjoy!”

“Its a cool walkway that lead to a small waterfall. Very cool find. Enjoyed watching the tadpoles along the waters edge and walking the trail. The water runs very fast by the waterfall, and the trail was very muddy in that area from the rain earlier.”

“Wonderful nature park covering over 200 acres. There are 5 miles of hiking trails which will take you through different habitat areas like wetlands and wooded areas. A stop at the visitor center will answer your questions on the plants and animals that inhabit the area. There is a small fee for parking, restrooms at the visitor center and an ampthetheater where talks are given.”

“Well kept ,could use a few more picnic tables there was only 1 there today. A little dangerous pulling back onto the road. brush needs to be cut back for better visibility.most of the targets are in good shape for shooting”

“Hidden Gem in Franklin. Old firehouse partially available for parties. Park is nice, playground, tennis courts, and on a rec trail. The only downside is stuff is too close to North Cape Rd”

“Great place to walk your dogs and get some good exercise. Very private area and I found it very peaceful. However there is a neighborhood attached to the park so if you're going to act up then don't go there. It's for people who abide by the law. Dogs are allowed!”

“Really good place to be for maybe a mini cookout, a decently long hike, or just play in the sun on the large playground. Sports fields for the baseball or American football fan in your family, and restrooms open all day. Only downside is lack of shade in parking and in the playground. Sunscreen is recommended at all times.”

“I found out about this land on eBird and since there were only 4 visits logged in the past 8 years, I just had to check it out if possible. There are NO signs anywhere designating this as park land, so you have to do some research first and pay attention to where you're going. Park by the road, and walk about 150 yds through waste deep grass between to farmed fields to the woods. Walk another 75 yards to the east and there you will find a wide path, probably for farmers initially, and that's where you can enter the woods. The trail splits off to the right and will meander through the property. There are numerous creek/brook crossings via small rocks, large trees, deep woods flowers and mushrooms, and plenty of birds. The bugs were thick the day I was there in July, so cover up! ”
