“I started seeing Dr. Emily half way through my 3rd pregnancy for some pretty intense pelvic/leg pain. She listened intently to determine how to best bring me relief and function with 2 toddlers at home. With the strengthening exercises, I was able to remain functional through the end of my pregnancy! In the third trimester, we discussed what my goals were for delivery. Emily shared a better birthing position, taught me HOW to push, and explained the “why” behind these things. Delivery went smoothly, and I was left with a stronger and more capable body postpartum. Most notably, I did not have the same noodly lower back as I did with my first two. I resumed appropriate exercises once cleared by my OB, and have continued to recover and strengthen my core. I realize now that I never really recovered between past pregnancies.
