“Good place for a kid's birthday party, probably ages 6 and up. We have had 2 parties here for our son and attended multiple parties here. The kids always have a great time. They have good food, we got pizzas with our party package. It was pretty affordable for everything you get. If i remember correctly it was about $150. Overall always a fun experience here!”

“Sendik's is definitely a more upscale grocery store without as much of a "natural" focus as Whole Foods. It's a happy medium between your standard grocer and a boutique/specialty grocer. I love that they feature a lot of local products and that they have a great variety. Staff is friendly and their deli, bakery, and meat departments all offer a variety of high-quality products. It is much better than shopping at a super Walmart.”

“A nice variety of products, including locally made items, and great deals across the store. There's so many brands to choose from, but you have to check the expiration dates on EVERYTHING that you purchase. While it's nice too have such a wide selection, it also leaves lots of room for error. The employees don't always properly rotate the products, so older products get pushed to the back. There was some salad dressing that expired in January 2023 on the shelf for regular price. Also, the employees are horrible at bagging, so self checkout is always the best choice. While you may have to wait for a register to open at self checkout, you don't have to worry about broken eggs or bread bagged with dish soap and chips.”

“Merton Sub Co is probably the best sub sandwich I’ve ever had. I’ll start with the bread is amazing every time. Freshly baked, crunchy on the outside and perfect on the inside. Thick cut meat, perfect amount of toppings. I use to get the Chief but now I’m stuck on the Italian. Comes with a nice bag of chips too. The owner is very personable, takes the time to get to know you when he’s not too busy, very good at remembering names and what your story is. I love a small town business like this, mom and pop kind of place. It’s in the old Merton Fire house too! I’m thinking about having my nephews birthday party here.”

I thought I was just going to get some regular treats, but ended up with a birthday cupcake, a peanut butter cupcake (for our other dog), dog waffles, dog pizza, cheese treats, Halloween treats, banana muffins, and a squeaky toy. “Last minute, I decided to cook for Thanksgiving. The day before, I went to Woodman's. It was a bit chaotic, but I found everything I needed. As I was waiting in a long line to pay for my groceries, a Gentleman grabbed my cart and escorted me to a newly opened register. He speedily checked me out while asking if I found what I needed etc. I was pleased that I found everything in one store and it wasn't as crazy as I thought it was going to be. “My favorite of all the Piggly Wiggly locations. Easy access right off main St in Sussex. Small store compared to the rest, really has that hometown vibe. I do my best to plan grocery visits when we're driving through so I can do my part to help keep it around.
