“This is by far the best food I've found in Wisconsin. Egg pie is now my favorite pie and I'd never heard of it before. The chicken has full flavor like I never thought possible. Rib tips were delicious, but was a smaller portion than expected, however the prices here are so low that makes sense. I've stopped ordering food from anywhere else unless this place is closed. Which is my one complaint, the hours are extremely limited. I'd order here a lot more often if they were open more. I think it's just the owner running it by himself with no help.”

“Last time I was there they were closed on Monday...then closed again on Tuesday with a sign that would be open for dinner...and they needed cooks. My coworker and I stopped here because we were hungry and there were a ton of cars in the parking lot. I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was really good. We got a thin crust Hawaiian pizza. There was a buffet but we didn't get that. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town! I have also added it to my restaurant list for the New Richmond area!”

The bar is adorable- we could see a tom turkey walking in front of the windows right when we walked in! Our server was also so friendly and attentive! The food was absolutely amazing!!! “We are doing a really cool road trip before gas prices make it undoable, this gem in Portage Wisconsin is Amazing! I was totally in the mood for a good small town breakfast and this place is exactly what I wanted. I got the Farmers Skillet and it came with two pancakes, so much food for $9.99!! And it’s not only the quantity but it’s absolutely delicious. If you’re riding by or even if you’re not, this place is worth the drive. The staff was also incredible, small town, happy, and friendly. “A few months ago, I came here and asked to buy the remainder of a case of energy drinks that I could clearly see between the soda shelves... the girl working told me that there was no more because she had just stocked it... So of course I went and took a picture to show her. Her next response was that she was too busy to help... the store was empty. So I left my purchase on the counter and left. About 12 cans of soda. Just went there today and the manager working was extremely helpful and told me that the previous girls no longer worked there. That's awesome. Thank you for getting rid of the people that obviously don't care about their job or place of employment. People don't seem to realize, there isn't money for raises to be paid more... if you intentionally don't bring in more sales. You are only hurting yourself. If it had been her store, would she have turned away a sale because she didn't want to leave the front counter and stop playing on her phone?”

“My daughter and I found this gem while we were out shopping. It’s located in a little strip mall so it can be easy to miss but I’m glad we found it. We were escorted to a table, seating was comfortable. We ordered spring rolls which came with a nice peanut sauce and crispy spring rolls that came with an in-house sweet n sour. Bothe were light and fresh. Then came our Pho with flank steak omg *chefs kiss* it was sooo delicious! Piping hot and flavorful! I’m so happy we ordered extra large bowls. It was delicious. Finally let me tell you this place was CLEAN. Even before COVID I’d walk out over dirty dishes and I always check glasses. These were impeccable and spotless. We will definitely travel up north for another bowl soon!”

“A rainy and damp April night, almost closing time! We pull in and ask if they are still open. They were actually cleaning but said they had no problem feeding us, lol! The group there was very professional. I don't know their names, but they were polite and respectful. They were disinfecting bandits! They were disinfecting everything in the building before we left. As they say, cleanliness is next to godliness! I let them know that before we left. I ordered a double cheeseburger with everything and a small fry, my wife just wanted her grilled cheese and lemonade. It was all done to perfection, the facility was spotless, the bathrooms were spotless! And like I always say, clean bathroom clean prep area. Dirty bathroom, don't eat there! I have to say this visit was refreshing considering the lack of respect shown to one's fellow man nowadays! The staff is definitely worth an above average tip! And, that's exactly what we did.”

The layout of the place is a little odd. It feels like you're in a hotel. The first two times I went the wait staff was...umm... confused or new. They couldn't find a highchair for the table next to us and the poor family had to wait like 15 minutes for them to find one. The last two visits they seemed to have things sorted out. The food is tasty. I recommend their Friday night fish or seafood linguine. The bar is a cozy with soft lighting and I've always enjoyed their drinks. They had live music each time I was there and the pianist was very talented and had a great voice. If they could update the layout and give the place a more modern feel I think they would be "the place to go" in Fitchburg.”
