“Before our trip, we heard such great things about the Mote Aquarium. Our visit lived up to the hype and more. On the surface, the aquarium doesn’t seem like much but it’s packed with interesting displays! Some of our favorites included the sharks, eels, river otters, turtles, and alligators. On top of those, there is plenty more to experience. The staff is more than friendly and were always there to lend a hand, give advice, or teach us a mini lesson. We spent about 2-3 hours going through both buildings. Overall, a great trip and experience and a place I think everyone should, especially with kids.”

“This is a great place to go with family. I especially enjoyed the elephants, although I am sure they regularly change their exhibits. If you go, plan on bringing extra money for drinks and food. A bottle of Aquafina was $5.35. You could also opt to bring your own water and snacks, but make sure you follow the rules. Today when we checked into the gate, we didn't have anyone check our bags. But always follow the rules they have on their site. It took us about 3 hours to walk briskly around the Zoo. If you want to take your time, I'd give it 5 hours and plan on eating. For those with walking troubles, you can rent a scooter in advance or rent a wheel chair. There are lots of hills to plan for, so make sure you have a good pusher for the chair. It is a wooded area, but sunscreen is still a good thing to have. Most of all, have fun! Hope this helps.”

It did seem a little pricey for entry. I thought there would have been more to see. Overall all though it was a lot of fun to visit at least once.”

“It was my grandson’s birthday. Although, we stood in line for at thirty minutes or so, because there was only one person at counter. It was worth the wait. We received token for my grandson to feed the animals since it was his birthday and we enjoyed ourselves. I think the grandkids grew tired from waiting in line to enter. But overall it was a great experience.”

“I love aquariums and this one did not disappoint. It is divided into two buildings, one for ocean one for river. It takes you through the museum in a specific path so you aren’t going in circles. The buildings are huge. But very fun to explore. My favorite part in the ocean building was seeing the sea turtles and my son loved the sharks and penguins. In the River building we both loved the giant river fish and all the turtles. He even got to touch an animal in its tank. Great family experience. The gift shop is even moderately priced”

“Beautiful place to visit. I liked the tunnel where people walk and you can see all the fish, sharks, whales and other creatures swimming next to and above you, it’s amazing!!! But if you really want to enjoy the visit to this aquarium, you must buy tickets to see the different shows they offer. Without seeing the shows, the visit won’t be worthy. They always take a picture of you right before the entrance so be ready with a nice outfit so you will look good on the photo that will become one of your best memories!!! Highly recommended!!”

“This is a small shop, but it's very well stocked and the staff are super friendly and customer service oriented. The gentleman that helped me admitted that he was new, but had no problem asking someone more knowledgeable to get the correct answer to my questions. He waited patiently while I selected the fish I wanted. My only teeny tiny complaint is that he did smell like he hadn't showered for a few days, but he offered such excellent customer service, that I'll definitely return. The fish looked well managed as well and the other gentleman was just as helpful! Recommend. 👍🏼👍🏼”

“Hands down best independent aquatics store I have ever seen in this area! All staff were exceptionally friendly (well the cat was a little picky with people 😆). I found a great selection for aquascaping and saw all stocking options in great health! I was encouraged when I asked to see a plant's roots before picking it, and they double checked that I knew how to prep my driftwood! Prices were on par with a great deal for the quality you are getting too! They carried all the best foods too. I added some pictures of the water hyacinths, baby banana plant, and driftwood from here in some of my tanks. I think I just found my regular aquatics store, can't wait to go again! -Sam”

“Cool place, fair prices, vast selection and some absolutely beautiful euphyllia that blew me away. This is a long standing business run by a knowledgeable, experienced person. Went up there on a weekend with my wife and kids to purchase some goniopora and ended up getting more a few corals as well. I would have rated 5 stars but I'm not sure what's going on with one coral. We bought a $150 pink and yellow goni; wasn't open at time of purchase but we saw the mother colony and every other frag was great. Of course this particular goni won't open in either tank we have even at "ideal" water parameters. Goniopora can be tricky so it's probably not anyone's fault. However, I wish we would not have bought a coral that wasn't open. I contacted the owner and he was nice enough and responded quickly. Unfortunately, there's not much anyone can do so hopefully it opens; constant 78°F, 1.024 SG, .06 phos, 11.0 nitrate, pH 8, 8.2 Alk, Calc 430 and mag 1290 so not sure what the problem is. Not slamming this business at all; I should have known better to buy a coral that wasn't open. Would buy from him again, just wish I could figure out our goni!”

“The Meadows Center (Aquarena Springs) was enjoyed by our church children's group. All the kids ages 3-12 found ithe glass bottom boats interesting and had a really good time. The boat tours are about 30 minutes and there is a short trail around the edge of the lake.”

“Never knew this place existed until a few weeks ago, and decided to give it a try on a whim. The atmosphere was very nice, and the exhibits and tanks were well laid out for easy viewing at any pace. We never felt too rushed to get through them in the time we had. It wasn't too crowded during our visit, though there were a few points where waiting was definitely required due to narrow hallways and small viewing spaces, though not nearly enough to cause an issue. Definitely a very unique experience overall, and a must-see if you're visiting the mall for the first time.”

“We absolutely enjoyed our whole experience at the zoo! It was very clean and spacious. All of the animals seemed happy. You could tell a lot of thought went into each animals living space. We really enjoyed getting a under water and a separate above water view of the Polar Bear. And enjoyed watching the monkeys swing and play on there nice "jungle gym". I've told several people how much we enjoyed it and recommend this zoo. We will def make plans to attend again”
