“My husband made a payment on his credit card account before the due date. Imagine our surprise when we get a call 11 days later from their collections center stating that we haven't made payment and they have accessed a late fee. This is bad because our account is 0% interest for a specified period, as long as the payments are made on time. We gave the caller the information from the receipt and he told us WE needed to do the leg work because they would just keep callling! He told us in his opening statement the conversation might be recorded. I hope it was because after my husband stated the payment was made at the local branch, he responded, "... a payment by mail takes 7-10 days!" I have read the positive blogs for this branch which gives me hope that they will be able to resolve this matter quickly. The agent I spoke with was courteous and promised me a return call today. They have already called back (within an hour) and stated everything will be corrected. A problem with how the payment was applied. Guess we'll have to wait and see if we receive anymore calls from collections and if the next statement shows the corrections. *******Update*********** We have over the years since this post, continued to do business with Fifth Third, including a mortgage. They did correct their error with the credit card and I like that they do not sell their mortgages. Changing my 3 stars to 5. *******************************”

“I recently stopped into this branch for the first time the other day & was helped by a woman with the last name Desmond, I believe. I was locked out of my online banking account and the customer service line proved to be useless. I was told to stop into a local Key Bank branch in order to get my account unlocked. I did as instructed, but was turned away at the first branch I visited. This Key Bank, though, was the second one I went to. Stressed & on a lunch break that was almost over, Ms. Desmond helped to calm my anxieties by helping to resolve the issue effectively. She also attentively listened to my grievances about the customer service line & the Key Bank branch that I had visited prior to coming to her location. I’m not one to write reviews, but I felt she really cared for the customer’s —my— satisfaction & totally understood my anxieties when it came to wanting to know what was going on with my money & my bank. She was amazing & even told me if I have any other issues to contact her directly, which I plan on doing if any problems arise again!”
