“My go to place for cakes for over 10 years. Last time they made us a fun Roblox cake; I described it to her and emailed examples and, as usual, it looked like the samples, tasted fresh and delicious! I may be weird but their fondant tastes good so I eat that too. My son loved it and that made me happy. I've ordered many cakes from her and have never been disappointed. Their pastries are tasty too and they have a good variety which is great for last minute guests. They've always been very professional and pleasant. The place is clean and they also have candles which can be helpful for last minute. Pricing is reasonable and the cakes are good quality; our guests have always enjoyed them. The parking lot can get a little crazy cause the Salsa and Beer (cause their food is bomb) but you can usually find a spot or park on the street.”

“I feel like I have already rated this place so I’m not sure why it is asking me again but busy bees is one of the local bagel shops in the neighborhood. I believe it is one of the only ones. It is average. The bagels taste like they are old. They are not fluffy but not chewy or hard either. They are bland in texture and taste. They don’t give you a lot of cream cheese here and when you do ask for extra cream cheese they charge you $2.40 which seems like an exorbitant amount. They are definitely not friendly. However I continue to go back here because the bagels or average and basically due to limited choices in the area I find myself frequenting the spot. The veggie cream cheese is so delicious.”

“Brioche chocolate bar- The brioche bar is extremely filling, between the brioche is filled with cream and chocolate chips with sea salt sprinkle on top. When you bite into the bar it is soft, but firm. The first thing you will taste is the cream followed by an explosion of chocolate. The sea salt acts as a nice counter balance to all the sweetness, it is like having a taste of soft pretzel. Wonderful work of art, highly recommended to try if first time coming. Chocolate cream puff- More like chocolate cream bomb, the size of the puff will fill the palm of your hands. The puff is filled to the brim with cream where the texture is velvety with just the right amount of sweetness for me. Surrounding puff pastry is extremely soft, biting in you will feel no resistance as in biting onto air. I recommend having extra napkins at the ready because it is going to get messy. I only bought two pastries where it comes in a nice rectangular box with the logo sticker on top. With each pastry having their own sheets for me to grab so my hands wouldn’t get messy. Shanna the owner is extremely friendly and talking to her made the entire experience memorable. For first timers the bakery opens only on the weekend Sat-Sun at 8am-1pm. Most of the bakery is dedicated to baking boot camps for young children learning how to bake. Shanna also hosts private events at the location and creates custom cakes as well. If you are curious about certain items availability please call ahead to make sure because I know the cream puffs will be gone.”

“Randomly pulled off the highway to explore and happened upon this spot. It was early morning, and I pulled in just because it looked to be open. Very pleasant surprise! A little conglomerate of businesses including the Cafe, a farmers market, gem shop, gas station, and my personal favorite- The Pie Box. Behind all of this is a pleasant outdoor garden/ nature spot that is open for relaxing, walking the dog, and checking out a little steam and waterfall. The Pie Box has a seating area inside with large windows that open up to the outside. I imagine if I lived here I would enjoy a Pie breakfast and coffee too frequently. The bakers were busy and the place smelled amazing! Good selection of freshly made pies... too many to mention. Got a slice of peach which was delicious and not too sweet. Cool spot that is family oriented and a good spot to stretch your legs or just relax and have a treat.”
