“We were treated like family. When the baby blanket we ordered from Amazon came late, Pam gave my daughter a baby blanket to wrap our sweet granddaughter in. It was made by her daughter, hand crotcheted. They helped us through every process and were so kind and generous and polite. I would definitely recommend them! At the graveside Con Zeyer was there and he was so attentive, as if he was the grandfather of the family. They even coordinated with the funeral home in Spokane, WA that we went through, so we didn't have to make one more phone call. If I could give them 6 stars I would!”

“Date of service 12 Sept 2021 The Jones family first impression began when they were able come to my home in within 60 minutes or less. The empathy from his son upon arrival filled the room as he gave my mother tender hearted care from the bed into the hearse. Working along side Carlos was an experience everyone should have when a loved one transitions. He was very empathetic and was avaliable at all times. His attention to detail and his ability to enhance our vision and more was exceptional. The facial makeup on my mom was flawless in addition to her regalia. “I can not give enough praise and gratitude, for the service this company gave me. Being able to purchase a plot for my mom, at a 1/4 of the cemeteries list price, was beyond helpful. The lot I purchased would not have been available either, for the best lots were sold many years ago at Skylawn. Terry the owner was so compassionate on the phone, explained the basics and guided me, in such a thoughtful manner. I personally worked with Jason Salvador, who showed me the different possibilities for mom at Skylawn Memorial. He was kind and new the cemetery layout so well - he had worked for Skylawn previously and knew all about the cemetery. There was no pressure and he simply showed me the possibilities. I could not have asked for a better or easier process. I found the most beautiful plot for mom!! I could not have afforded it! If, it had not been for this amazing company. I have attached a couple of pics - at purchase time and after the burial. There is such a spectacular view of the mountains and of Half Moon Bay!! So peaceful!!! Jason, then set up a meeting with Kenny of Skylawn to do all the paper work. It was simple to pay for the different parts. He stayed with me for all the important details. I am so thankful for Terry and Jason!! They were so helpful and made this part so much better and easier. It is so hard to lose someone and have all these decisions and details. The service their company offered me, allowed me to honor mom in the most wonderful way. My highest recommendation!!!”

“Freeman-Hood was an absolute blessing to my family when my Pappy passed away. He passed away so quickly and I didn’t have anything ready nor did I know what to do. They took me under their wing and treated me as family. When all the other funeral homes around wanted an outrageous amount of money for minimal service they reached out and met me in the middle. They worked with what I had and still gave my Pappy an absolutely beautiful service that he deserved. They went well out of their way and did way more than I could have ever been able to do for him anywhere else. My Pappy was in the Air Force, the presidential honor guard, and served in law enforcement in several states and they truly honored him in every way they could for his service. They also check on the families even after the service and send remembrance cards out four times a year. They do a yearly release of balloons for our lost loved ones, and they even are decorating a tree in the town square at Christmas time when they do the lighting of the trees for all of our lost loved ones. They don’t just take your money and run like most other funeral homes around here. At the worst time of my life when I knew my Pappy deserved more than I could give all the other homes just offered me a straight number to the mortuary for cremation when this man served our country for most of his life, the other homes just didn’t even care. Freeman-Hood stepped up and did more than I could have ever even thought to ask for. They aren’t in it just for the money they truly care and that makes a heck of a difference. I didn’t know how to do any of this and called them so many times and not once was I not greeted kindly and helped. I couldn’t put into words how amazing they are and I honestly don’t know what I would have done without them. Thank you so so much Freeman-Hood, I am forever grateful for everything you guys did for my Pappy!”
