“I had the distinct honor of working with the staff of the Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home over the last several weeks. I had many challenges because it was the first time, I found myself in the role of coordinator for a burial, plot purchase and service arrangement. We also needed to coordinate a date that would accommodate friends and loved ones arriving from multiple states. Gratefully, Tom Gallagher either helped me solve each challenge and/or completely provided the solution himself. Tom, Anthony and Matt were all instrumental in making the process up to, and including, the funeral an amazing experience. They reduced stress, resolved many issues (before I even knew there were issues to be resolved) and were very respectful and empathetic in our many exchanges. They were completely available and accessible. If I wasn’t able to reach them, I was able to leave a message with their answering service representatives who were polite and attentive. These messages were then relayed in real-time to one of their staff who responded in a timely manner. My experience with the Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home far surpassed any expectations I had. Considering the fact that this was my first experience in this capacity (with countless unknowns and that I lived in Maryland), I know they were God-sent. I am forever grateful that I had the privilege to work with such a wonderful group of kind and professional care-givers at such a challenging time. Sincerely, Joel Brotman”

“We cannot even begin to thank you enough for all of your support during this heartbreaking time in our lives. You were so considerate of our feelings and emotions at that time. You also went above and beyond what you were required to do. Myself and my daughters express their utmost gratitude. The compassion, kindness, care, respect and professional ability that your family provided was so comforting. Every detail was anticipated and handled flawlessly and everything was all very beautiful. We would never have been able to do it without your help. Again, thank you so much for your kindness. “Losing a loved one is very hard and taking care of the arrangements is absolutely nerve racking. I lost my father in Saturday, and quite a bit of the family was already on their way in town to try and see him before he passed. This put us on a timeframe to prepare for the service. We were there when George picked up my father from the hospital, and we were very confident leaving him in their care. Heather took care of our account and she is absolutely amazing. Anytime I turned around and needed anything, she was right there. They took care of everything for us, but I could not have seen my father's service turning out any better. He looked wonderful and as if he could wake up any minute. While nothing can make this time in our lives any easier, Their compassion and professionalism helped make it so that we were better able to grieve, instead of focusing on the little details.”

The care and comfort they provided helped us through a very difficult time. A better choice could not have been made. We're so grateful that they were there for us and we'll always highly recommend them to be the 1st and only choice to prepare a loved one who has passed away. Thank You Jon!!!”

“As a Minister, I have worked with Smith-Gallo numerous times. Then, when we needed them (on a personal level), they were so great with helping honor my mother-in-laws life. They made the process so easy and I was super grateful to have them walking with us through such a hard time (despite me doing the same with families for a number of years). So grateful for the team at Smith-Gallo!!”

“When our father passed we really didn't know where to begin. I was recommended to Whites Funeral Home by a friend. Immediately we were welcomed like family by Ruth, one of the coordinators. She, along with the rest of the staff made making the arrangements very easy and with great compassion. My father's service was beautiful and we are extremely happy with the service we received. Thank you from myself, my sisters and my mom.”

“My husband died unexpectedly in Jan 2021, when mortuaries and funeral homes were overwhelmed from the pandemic. I was out of state when it happened, and was turned down by 8 other funeral homes that were too full before Boyd said they would help us. They were able to keep my husband's body safe and have him cremated for me, and Candy was patient with my questions. I am so grateful for their help. Today I called them again because I had a bill from the county related to his processing and I wasn't sure if it was legit- Robert remembered my husband, explained everything for me, and after my question was resolved he actually asked me if I had been doing ok. I was really touched, generally at this point no one asks me that anymore. Thank you!!!”

“This funeral home has taken care of members of my family over the years. They are some of the most kind and loving people I have ever known. This is so important as they are dealing with families during a very difficult time and all I've ever felt is compassion. Please carry on your loving and caring tradition. God has blessed many with a business like yours.”

“Unfortunately we had two deaths in our immediate family within one year. We used McVeigh for both services. Dave and staff (especially Betsy) were so kind, accommodating and caring. Kristin did a fabulous job of making my mother-in-law look like herself, before she got sick, and everyone who came commented on that. We can’t thank them enough for making an extremely difficult time, a little easier.”

“The staff at Stith Funeral Home is warm-hearted, caring and oh-so-kind. They made a terribly difficult time for our family so much more tolerable than it could've been. They answered a million questions, helped us make a world of informed decisions, and treated us like we were the only family they were working with at the time. They took care of so many details for us so all we had to do was greet and visit with the people who came to show their respects. With their help we had a lovely send-off for my aunt, one which I know she would've loved. Our family has used Stith Funeral Home for as far back as I can remember and I can't imagine there's anywhere that would care as much for a grieving family as they do.”

“I called Warren at Preston Charles because I lost a friend that had no next of kin or immediate family. He had one executor of his estate that we never knew. Warren immediately made a few phone calls and was back to me within 1hr to give me options even if he wasn't sure if a service would be held at Preston Charles. Folks, this kind of service is NOT always available or offered in the funeral business. If you are in Middletown or Lockland areas and may need services, pre-planning, or just information, Preston Charles has options that are helpful, cost efficient, and VERY Professional!!!!”

“This is an exceptionally good funeral home. Firstly I will compliment the Carmichael family for operating an ethical and well managed business. Second I want to compliment Steve for all of his work in managing my son's funeral, and exceeding my expectations. The personnel are all very professional, the premises are immaculate and they pay attention to every detail. They can help you to plan your funeral without being pushy salespeople as with so many other funeral homes. Carmichael Funeral Home will work with you to deliver a service that makes the best of a bad time in your life. My family agrees that we made the right choice in choosing this business for our funeral needs. I highly recommend this business.”

“Looking for a funeral home providing last minute direct cremation at a reasonable price. Trinity Funeral Chapel came to the rescue. Helena was a great communicator that kept up with the medical examiner's office, got the much-needed information, and provided me with guidance. With some patience and a need for urgency, she got it done. Her employees were kind and considerate. I appreciate the simplicity and directness. Great service and a blessing for the community. Thank you, thank you!”

“I would like the appropriate person to know how wonderful Steve Reiter was with our family around the recent death of my father, Laurence Jacobson. We had a situation where my father’s death was quick, unexpected and shocking. Steve Reiter handled everything with warmth, grace, patience and compassion. I have now buried both of my parents through Louis Memorial Chapel, and I hope you all know how important your amazing customer service is. We never questioned the advice Steve offered us. We trusted him, which is all the more important when a family is grieving. When we were in the casket room, Steve came out with a file letting us know that the casket my stepmother chose was the same my father and his brother chose for their mother (my grandmother) over a decade ago. There was something so comforting in having that information. Please tell Steve how much our entire family appreciated him. - Ann Jacobson Shure”

“J.J. Duffy Funeral Home did an incredible job during a difficult time. They are extremely compassionate and understanding when you are grieving. They are courteous and highly professional in helping with funeral, wake, mass and burial arrangements We were able to view online what may be offered in private and discuss among ourselves prior to making the final arrangements in person. To me a big plus. They followed up with the Church in getting the date and time requested. What made it all the more special was the pamphlet they provided to the guests/ mourners at the wake. The pamphlet captured Dad's life and incorporated his passions and family in a memento as well as a board of photos. What a special gift when you want all to go well in a trying time. This made it very special and Dad would have been pleased. They even reach out later with available resources and services for grief.”
