“What do you do, when it's time to upgrade from a trusty tandem? We are a pretty experienced tandem team, and huge Santana fans. With our 30 anniversary approaching, we wanted to start the next 30 years with a new tandem that fit, was the right color, and had the features we needed. We wanted it to be lighter than our current tandem, have a great wheelset, and have a better fit than our current ride. After doing some searching we were disappointed to find there aren't any Santana dealers in the Chicago area. Even outside of Chicago, there aren't many with stock. Santana's website had Twin Cities Tandems listed as a dealer, and after doing some Facebook, Google, and web searching, it appeared there was stock - we got excited. I posted a question on a picture on Facebook, and Steve responded almost immediately with a direct message asking some questions. The dialogue continued off and on over the course of a couple weeks, and we scheduled a trip to the cycling cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. Arriving on a Monday morning, Steve was smiling, gracious, and ready to help us find the tandem for the next 30 years. With different tandems available to ride, we started with the Sovereign, and it felt great! Then we moved to an Escape, and we could tell the difference an upgraded wheel set made on the Escape. When we got back and talked with Steve about it, he mentioned he could easily do a wheel swap as the Sovereign fit our needs better than the Escape, but we liked the feel of the wheels on the Escape more than the wheels on Sovereign. Steve then offered a test ride on a super fun folding tandem while he got to swapping the wheels. By the time we loaded up, and headed home, we'd spent a few hours with Steve, and I can't recommend him and his shop enough. He knows his stuff, and he will work with you to find what fits your needs best. He'll make tweaks where needed to dial in the tandem, and has stock of accessories to finish off the build. He gave some recommendations on where to ride as well, which is great knowledge for the next time we travel up to the Twin Cities.”

I brought in my new road bike to ask if he could put on the pedals and he kindly agreed and did not want to charge me anything so, I decided to give him a grateful tip + chocolates as a Thank You + decided to bring in my antique road bike for a tune-up, etc. It did need new parts, etc. So, because of Kyler's kindness I decided to give my business to El Camino over my usual Revolution in SB who is closer to my home but does not meet the 5star customer service + great work that I received at El Camino! Will the owner is great too! He overcharged me a bit when I came in to pick up my bike but immediately resolved the issue by agreeing on the overcharge and corrected it. My antique road bike now rides better than it did when it was new! Totally worth it!”

“I started getting my bike ready for the season and needed some repairs and tune-up. I also had him throw a baby rider on for me. Although the hours say different, I sent an email and Alex got back to me within an hour! And another hour and a half later my bike was fixed and the seat installed. My tune-up took a little longer because of the baby rider install. otherwise it would have been done in 30ish minutes. Alex was very knowledgeable and got my bike back on the road with no problems! “It's sometimes hard to catch this shop when it's open BUT, it's worth waiting! I've purchased 2 bikes from this shop and both have been perfect transactions! The first bike was for myself and I saved well over $200 compared to the shops in Kettering. The next was a smaller/cheaper bike for my young son. He didn't have it on location but, offered to bring it in from his local warehouse the following day so I could see it. EXACTLY what I was looking for...and better price, for a better bike, than Walmart. After we got it home, we noticed the rear tire would slowly go down over a day or 2. Took it back up and asked if he could replace the tube. A few minutes later, it was fixed and he wouldn't allow me to pay for the repair. FINALLY...a business that still cares about the customer! In short, do yourself a favor and wait to catch this shop when it's open! If you don't see what you are looking for, just ask! The owner will definitely do everything he can to try and help you out.”

From the moment I inquired about a motorcycle being available, to when I had questions, to when I went in and test rode the 1st time Amy and her staff have been absolutely fantastic. This place is a family run and operated dealership. They have ties to all the brands that they sell and they're knowledgeable about the bikes that are on their floor.
