“Yesterday I tried Penn’s Sub for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. I was craving for a sandwich and found this restaurant near. I got fries and 2 subs. The fries are not bad, they need a lot of improvement. For the subs I got: - A veggie sandwich: it was really nice. The bread was fresh same as for the veggies. Next time I would change the sauce I chose for it. - Classic Italian grilled: I got it without the ham and it was delicious. I really enjoyed it. I need to highlight: the fresh and soft bread, the generosity of the ingredients and finally the affordable prices. I am craving it now! I can’t wait to try new subs and I highly recommend try this place.”

“Let me tell you something....Top Notch all around. My favorite part about this spot is that swimming is absolutely encouraged. In the ponds. I thought it was weird....until we tried it. I talked to a guy who knows the owner, so it's approved. Fairways are greener and smoother than most greens around. Fantastic landscape. This course is a treat. If you can play it, play it. “Stopped by here for lunch on a Fridays after seeing a movie at AMC. I went because of the good reviews, but nobody else was there so we were a bit hesitant. Ordered chicken chimichanga and a beef taco salad. Food was AMAZING, service was quick and very friendly. “We shopped around for a local pizza place when we first moved to southgate and we haven't tried another since finding Mickeys. I recommend it to any and every family member. Every delivery person we've ever had and person who took our order over the phone was super nice and informative. We only had one slow call and I believe the gentleman was training doing phones so I definitely don't fault him for that. Our pizzas are always how we ordered them and fairly quick to arrive, or at least always within the frame of time they give us. No complaints from me here, we'll continue to support this local business for sure! And yes we dug in before I could take review photos 🤣”

“We stopped in at the pizza place on our way through Colorado. The atmosphere great, the server, even being her second day alone was great too. The only issue I had was the pizza. I order the mushroom pizza with the mix of wild mushrooms and smoked pichoto (sp). The meat was great the only problem was there wasn't a lot of mushrooms. I love the pizzas with enough mushrooms you can taste each of their flavors on top of everything else. They def went really light on the mushrooms which was a disappointment. Only reason I gave it a 4. Could be better.”

“Not bad for fast food Philly Cheesesteak joint along hwy 5. We passed by here as it was close to the Tesla Supercharger stalls. We wanted something quick to eat before hitting the road. This was next to Jamba Juice, Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robins in the same store. Plenty of seats. Lady took our order, not the most smiley friendliest cashier but all business, got our order down. Food came out somewhat fast. Ordered a large Philly Cheesesteak and had them cut in half. It had a lot of meat and cheese. Tasted good to me. Ordered potato wedges with real bacon bits and cheese. That was a bit too much for me but my son and hubby liked it. Ordered a large drink. Decent prices. Would come back to have it again if we were in area.”

“Stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. There was no wait and our server was very attentive. I love the authenticity of the restaurant inside from the food to the decor. It really reminds you of the keys. We tried the lobster bisque which was incredible and we got 2 grouper sandwiches, one fried and one Jamaican jerk style. Both were consistent and so delicious. The coleslaw and fries were also good! Overall, great experience and will definitely be back. Oh and we didn’t get any dessert but my mom swears by the key lime pie here. One of the best in the keys.”

“I enjoyed JJ's Corner immensely! After tasting some fries, which were tasty, I had the Catfish Alexandra (with a side of fries because...why not!), and it did not disappoint! The sauce was so flavorful that it made the bed of rice its own meal! This is a very spacious, nicely arranged establishment. I went on a Friday, there was no cover, no fee to park, and the DJ played the perfect mix of 90s, Blues, Rap, and R&B. There was never a dull moment. The patio party vibe was even more vibrant than the slightly more reserved atmosphere on the inside. I will mention that during my visit, the "specials" pricing was not up-to-date. They were handwritten on ad-board so can easily be updated. Confirm the true price of your selection when placing an order to avoid any surprises. The actual cost of my meal was not outrageous and totally worth it. It just minimizes confusion and enhances the customer experience when information is accurate. I certainly believe those who enjoy a night out of good music, food, and a mixed aged crowd should add JJ's Corner to their "places I want to go" list, and check them out! The earlier your arrival, the better your parking choice, as with most places. Friday's are free.....that means Saturdays are likely not 🙃😉.”

“It was a crime how slow the place was during lunch hours! Look at the pics of the food. It speaks for itself. I mean the cheese pull from that bite of pizza was absolute perfection. Garlic knots came out hot and fresh, with drips of garlic sauce on the plate to slide the knots in. Crispy outside, light and airy on the inside. I even dropped a pic of the silverware next to the pizza so you can get an idea of the pizza size. I am so delighted that we stopped here for lunch as the food and service were outstanding. I dropped the atmosphere to a 4 for nitpicky reasons. Like the fact that there was no music or sound for ambiance. Also, some of the pictures on the walls were crooked and my wife fixates on things like that. However, the food review still stands. Overall this place is a strong 4.7 out of 5 in my book. Definitely worth going back for more!”
