“This is a great intimate experience. Farmer Mary was welcoming as well as her daughter. Read her site BEFORE going… it will answer a lot of questions beforehand. My son had a wonderful time he is just turning 2 and we will be back for sure! … Thank you Mary”

“It's a great little farm. Filled with animals whom you can feed and watch their interactions with each other. It's fun watching their movements and how they interact with each other. Theirs an assortment of animals and majority of them can eat the same diets. But please follow the sheet they give you which tells you what animal can eat what. Have fun! 🤣”

“I cannot say enough about how amazing this park was. It was shaded and paved. The camping section is a bit far from the beach area, so you don't get Beach goers wandering through your site. There is a great local market that happens on weekends that you can easily get to. Definitely bring bikes to cruise around on! And the people at the kayak rental are awesome and do tours!”

“Happy Tails is a wonderful, family owned business. Their animals are absolutely beautiful and very well cared for!! The animals are so lively and you can tell they enjoy their lives. Everyone loved when Happy Tails came to our party. It was so cute to see all the kids smiling and having a good time. I would definitely recommend them!”

“Hubbard Gorilla Valley is an excellent attraction. The building is air-conditioned and very cool. It is a nice escape from the heat outside. The walkways are wide and clean. There are lots of viewing windows and you can get up close to the gorillas. Throughout the entire zoo there are clean restrooms and water fountains which include a bottle filling station. The restrooms also had sunscreen dispenser in the restrooms.”

“A great zoo for little ones. My 2 year old and I went two times around the zoo in 2 hours. Love how you can see all the animals up close and that they have so many statues of other zoo animals. Hoping to come back when more features are open like feeding animals or seeing presentations. Update. Came with my 2 and 4 year old and we had a lovely time. Parking was a bit challenging but a great size zoo for toddlers. We were able to feed the animals and actually got to see the tigers awake. Great staff who enjoy interacting with the kids.”

“My church Point of Light Church in Cedar Hill,Texas has been doing business with One of A Kind Petting Zoo for over 10 years. Every year they never disappoint us. The community looks forward to over 30 animals to pet and enjoy. The individuals over the years have been fantastic. Clean and very organized. My favorite is always the miniature pig and every year the owner always makes sure I get to see them. Every year during Easter we have a great celebration and as always " A One of a Kind Petting Zoo" will be a part of the celebration. May God bless you with continued success. We will see you next year prayerfully. As long as the pandemic is gone. Request them to come to your next birthday party, church or school event. You will not be disappointed.”

“We had a great time interacting with flamingos and exotic birds. There was so much to see and the walk was great. The butterfly garden is a wonderful and beautiful experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. My only critic would be the restrooms. The restrooms are not set up for handicap or families. They were very uncomfortable. That's why I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars.”

“A very nice weekend getaway from San Diego. Everyone from toddler to senior citizens enjoyed the hospitality of the camel dairy staff and the environment. Very nicely the lifestyle of the camels and sheep and other pets like parrots cockatoo were explained in detail. Everyone had the thrill of feeding the camels and the sheep or baa baas according to my toddler grandson. Their soaps and creams from camel milk are worth trying. Loved the trip.”

“This place was a pleasant surprise. As a person who deeply cares about animal rights and welfare, I always get a bit on my guard when I see facilities with wild animals, mainly because I know some places don't properly care for these animals as they should. With Animal Park at the Conservators Center, that is far from the case. The staff and volunteers evidently care very deeply for the animals in their care and take interacting with them seriously and with the proper amount of awareness and caution. Even though it's never easy to see wild animals in penned areas, unfortunately with climate change and humans overusing natural resources and exploiting these animals, a lot of wild animals get displaced. This makes me grateful places like the Animal Park exist to provide them a home. The animals have a pretty fair amount of space and are given enrichment and company as appropriate. With the park serving to educate the public, the volunteers and staff are open about how they operate and care for the animals and how the animals came into their care; so feel free to ask questions during the tour. It's worth the time and money. Plus, the animals are breathtaking and a reminder that we need to protect our planet at all costs to save these animals from extinction. They deserve to share this Earth with us, and this Earth wouldn't be as beautiful without them.”

“My experience was completely different from the previous reviewer. The excessively negative tone shows it was probably just a disgruntled patron, or possibly even (just speculating here) the jealous proprietor of Horse, located nearby. In my case, when I arrived at Cow, a contented cow was peacefully awaiting my arrival. When I extended my reservation in my cupped hand, the cow immediately approached me. All in all, great customer service. It's true, you can't get them any fresher. I would have given it a "5" but for a slight unpleasant odor. P.S. The milk is also rich and creamy, and as fresh as it comes.”

“Much better than the ABQ Zoo. Most of These animals were rescued from private owners so the coyotes, bobcats, mule deer, elk and ravens approached us and we got to have a close up look. We went last summer and this winter and both times it was so much fun! The only difference is that in the winter, the black bear was hibernating. However, all the other animals were there and had many had beautiful winter coats. I will come back again!”

“Awesome!!!! One of the BEST zoos I've ever been too! The first, in fact. I used to live in Oakland and conveniently close to the zoo. Even now in Danville, a town in Contra Costa County, but along the border of Alameda County, I still live close, for it is on the other side of San Ramon and Castro Valley. I've always loved that zoo ever since I was little and I still love it now. Eleven years ago, I also attended a zoo camp program and LOVED IT!!!! I also love their cafe, gift shop, and the various attractions - including the train, one of the best parts of all! I strongly recommended this zoo to everyone - especially those that live in the East Bay. I also recommend this zoo to scientists, like myself, those that want the access to animals they don't usually get to encounter, those that love nature and being outdoors, and all Lion King fans, such as me!! Every time I've been to the Oakland Zoo, the place has also reminded me of the animal/nature films I grew up with such as Dumbo, The Jungle Book, and of course, The Lion King. I've been there many times with friends and I'm strongly hoping to get a job there someday. I've had so much experience with the Oakland Zoo and have loved it! Everyone there is treated like friends and family. It is a perfect place for others to spend time at and socialize, and also to hold events. If you need time to spend with lions, tigers, elephants, bears or other animals you don't get to be with everyday, come to the Oakland Zoo and see how awesome that zoo really is!”

“We were there for Holiday Cheer event. Lines for food and drinks were long but the zoo was set up so beautifully with lights and animal lanterns throughout. Holiday music playing made it quite a festive evening as we celebrated my husband's bday.”

“Moved to the area recently and found this place in a quick search. Decided to give them a ring to see if we could stop in and Sue, one of the owners, let us know to come on over. Sue and Russ were EXTREMELY kind and down to earth. We stayed for a while and had some great conversations and they were so welcoming. We got to hold some of the baby goats and Russ gave us some awesome insight into caring for their amazing animals. You can tell they are lovely people that enjoy everything about what they do. Couldn't recommend this place more!”

“CTR is a full-fledged sanctuary for so many beautiful big cats! They take such wonderful care of these animals. The staff and volunteers are so dedicated and welcoming to visitors. We had an amazing time learning about the stories that came behind the animals. A wonderful trip out for a half-day!”

“I had a fantastic time coming here for my birthday! My friend and I got to feed the lemurs and be (gently) climbed on by a lovely otter. It's immediately clear that these babies are well loved, and we'll definitely be back!”
