“There aren't many romanian restaurants close to Düsseldorf, but I'm glad this one is. After a few months away from Romania we wanted to eat some dishes from back home. The food was good with great prices and the staff was very nice. They speak German, English and of course Romanian. If you wanna try romanian dishes in the area, this is the place to go!”

“My first son is now 8 years at KIBS since he is 14 month old. Now he is in the 3rd grade. Of course there has been discussions about some things but in the a solution was agreed. In the end what counts is: My son loves the KIBS and loves going to school! We have asked him many times if he would go on a public school but he wants to stay. He likes a lot the different offerings, smaller classes, the mordern infrastructure learning since the 1st grade coding and how to use an iPad. Covid came along and KIBS had implemented SEASAW (online learning) since 1st grade. Home-learning and how to do homework alone, log themselfes into ZOOM-meetings, download and upload their excercises: NO PROBLEM AT ALL. Kids know what todo when - while most of the german public schools were overwhelmed taking month to place a learing concept. Kids stay together the whole day, eat together and learn to accept other cultures. PHSE (Personal Health and Security Education) is a major subject and how to solve problems without being physical. We are registering out newborn for next year as well (further children cause discount for the before borns!) Alternative: International School is double/triple expensive - KIBS is the right place for starting early in the Kindergarden to learn 2 languages (ours 3 with Spanish) at the same time! In the end my first born loves it, he wants to go to school and the great results count ! Nothing is perfect there will be always be some gap between expectation and delivery. But see, we are generally raising happy children and not stressed geniuses. Bilingual, responsible, open minded and tolerant kids that have the chance to participate at their own education plan. Complaining about money is the wrong thing to do, see other countries you pay much more for less eduction... The full package is what counts and here KIBS is the place to be. I could go on and on but I think you know that I am happy, that my son loves learning and going to school, hoping my second son will be the same! Lars Holstein”

“Cool place for punk/hardcore/metal fans. Wide selection of clothing, vinyl records and merch. Searching for t-shirts, although everything is in alphabetical order can be a bit disappointing since there is not enough space. Staff was ok. Tips: Grab one of their labeled (coretex) beers.”

“A lovely coffee shop in Kreuzberg area. Cozy, positive vibes and very kind staff. We also tried the deserts, they were really tasty. What made our experience special here, is that I ordered a hot Christmas chocolate that was great! After a while a nice guy that works here, came with a new hot chocolate saying that the Christmas chocolate was not as it should be (I honestly didn’t taste something bad). After a while, the girl that works here, offered us two croissants filled with espresso that were AMAZING! That was such a nice gesture! I really appreciated it! Highly recommended!”

“Every once in a while, a remarkable person makes an experience special. Robert, the always smiling owner here, is such a person. His food is delicious, his stories are enthralling, and his presence is invigorating. Here you will find African dishes, mainly based on Ewe cuisine, since Robert is Togolese. They are simple dishes, but very tasty. Some reminded me of Brazilian food, a testament to Africa’s influence in my own culture. It was my first time trying ostrich, and it was tender and juicy. The beans with manioc flour is exactly what I’d expect to find in Brazil 😋 yummy. Everyone was quite happy with the food and service. They offered us some shots on the house, one of which a spicy shot from dende palm, which was… surprising. Give it a shot! We’ll definitely be returning here to try the rest of the menu.”

“Several times they took clothes in bulk here, the last time being jeans and T-shirts at the beginning of the lot. Real European quality, branded clothing, not consumer goods. For the price is profitable, because mainly from past collections and at a substantial discount. There is a Russian-speaking manager, all issues are resolved with him, always help you choose to quickly arrange delivery.”

“As a foreign person with poor German language in age over 40 I feel absolutely satisfied being a Student of 5th semester at FDI. What I love about my Institut- we don’t learn only theory. But A LOT of practical lessons. “Learning by doing”. Direktor and founder of FDI miss Thomas is in love with fashion and design. She is the biggest motivator! Every year she invites guests from famous fashion houses and brands! For example Versace ! 😍That’s was the only chance in my life to meet some one from this legendary family in person! As well Institut organize visits to ateliers of world famous fashion names . Me my self I visited atelier of FENDI in Italy. Can you imagine your self just walking between FENDI Team who has there daily routines making legendary bags and shoes and we , group of FDI students from Düsseldorf just watching them . 😍 As well chances to visit Dior after in Paris and many many other places . . That’s a bonus of being FDI student. You are not only creating outfits for the teachers to get your diploma. FDI opens for students door into professional fashion world. And doesn’t matter how old are you 😉”

“It is a place to buy amazing quality vegan chocolate. My personal favourites are the 83, chili and nibbs bars. We had a great workshop at this place. The guy giving us the workshop knew a lot about the farming, processing of cacao beans and making of chocolate. It is very nice tasting the beans at different stages in the process and to taste the chocolate made at Belyzium. One of the things I would recommend is to not mix English and German speaking groups. It makes the workshop unnecessarily long and in our case the German group was not happy I was asking questions (I had more than I have asked due to this).”

“Very nice school, I studied the German language there for almost 6 months. At the end I was able to get my B1 certificates which was the start of my successful Business career here in Germany. As an IT consultant it was really important for me not just to learn the basic German words (Basic communication). I had to learn & improve also my German language skills in terms of professional Business communication. They have there some courses which allow you to improve your skills based on your demands or based on which field are you working in.I wish I had the time to continue my studies there to get my B2 & C1 certificates, but with B1 my German was good enough to be self independent in my career. Ps: I would highly recommend the intensive course (6-8 hours a day)”

“This is the best Christmas store in the whole world! It’s HUGE and has every decoration you could ever want - ornaments, nutcrackers, smokers, nativity sets, linens…everything is beautifully decorated and is such a fun store to walk through! My husband and I visited 15 years ago and really enjoyed bringing our kids with us this visit. Don’t miss this store!!”

“Amazing place! We had a wonderful time here. Nice atmosphere, such friendly ladies working there who help you with ideas and also friendly guests. It felt like a nice creative community with lots of love and light. If you feel like recharging your batteries, this is good place for that. I recommend booking in advance. We didn’t, so we needed to wait quite a bit until one table was free, but then the manager (I think) stayed 1 hour after opening hours for us to finish our ceramics. Thank you for that!”

“It's one of the best places I've stayed. I would actually go and stay longer term since I can work remotely. If anyone is reading this, please contact me to see if we can find an agreement. The staff was very kind, the bathrooms very clean, the rooms beautifully furnished in industrial style and very comfortable. Beautiful common space where you can cook, eat, work and relax....I would love to spend there some more time and can't recommend more.”

“Great place, super spacious inside and not mega crowded so you had a crowd to dance in, but also space if you wanted it. Only downside is that smoking is allowed inside, but I guess that's everywhere in Berlin. The music was incredible, it was super clean (really surprising for a club), and almost no wait for the bar. Had bought tickets for the evening so didn't have to stand in the mega long queue. It seemed that people with tickets didn't have any issue getting in, didn't see anyone rejected from that line. Plus it moved really fast, was in in under 15 minutes.”
