Every dish was impeccable, staff were extremely friendly and service was great, location and ambiance are spot on, and quite affordable for what you get! “I eat fish almost every day of my life and every time I am in Amsterdam I stop at as many stalls as I can for some herring or mackerel or whatever I am in the mood for. This time I had a mackerel sandwich with a healthy serving of mayo too. I loved every bit of it from the smell to the taste. The fish has that pickled preserved flavor that is strong and balances the fish flavor a bit, the mayo brings a creamy texture to the dish and the bread is merely a vehicle for the fantastic fish. I’ve also had the herring too and would obviously recommend it.”

“Recommended for persons with all levels of yoga experience! I regularly have the pleasure of taking different yoga classes at the Hot Flow Jordaan Studio in Amsterdam. From the moment I entered the studio, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. The studio itself is beautiful, with a small changing area, showers and a serene ambiance that made me feel right at home. The flow classes are truly transformative. The instructors are all incredibly knowledgeable and led us through a challenging that left me feeling strong, energized, and centered. The heat in the room added an extra layer of intensity that helped me to deepen my practice and really push myself to new heights. I can also recommend the Hot Yin and Hot Aromatherapy Yin classes from Hot Flow Jordaan. These classes have a slower pace, where postures are held for 3-5 minutes at a time. In addition, the use of essential oils adds a therapeutic element to the classes. Overall, I really recommend following classes at the Hot Flow Jordaan Studio. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a beginner looking to explore this ancient practice, this studio has something to offer everyone!”

“I recently took a week-long intensive Dutch language course and it was a great experience. The course was well-structured with three different private teachers, each with unique teaching styles. The focus was on improving speaking skills, even encouraging us to speak Dutch during lunch breaks. However, I wish we could have chosen our tutors and preferred those with formal education in Dutch. Despite this, my Dutch improved significantly. The course is expensive, but I recommend it for anyone wanting to improve their Dutch quickly.”

“I happened to walk into this restaurant more by accident than deliberately... but I am appy I did. The reception and service were super friendly and helpful. There a few things I can't eat, so I had to be a bit picky, but the staff was very knowledgable there. And so it happened that I had some new tasty sensations. The spicy squid was nice to start with (though not so spicy), the spring roll (double packed) was very tasty, but wow... the tofu (was it?) with the century egg was so delicious, I could eat a bucket of it! Then some veggies in garlic sauce with plain rice... simple but good. I could have easily have more from the menu, but then I would've just exploded. I don't understand some of the negative reviews here... but I think some people have wrong expectations or they choose only what they know and just like to complain. Same as the service... it was excellent. So yes, I recommend! And if I'm ever in the area again, I'd happily come back...”
