“Great value for a sunset 1 hour cruise. It was approximately €20/adult. They had bar service and the drinks were reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and were able to answer most questions during the tour. We brought our kids and they had a good time. Note they offer a number of different cruises. The one we chose was the evening cruise with a bar--it was not an in-depth tour but just a nice ride with drinks and a bit of commentary from the skipper; it was exactly what we were looking for after a long day on our feet.”

“The best experience! The best time! We rented a boat from Boats4rent online, months before our trip. Initially I rented from another location and they were graciously able to change our reservation to the Nassaukade location. We arrived early with our sandwiches, drinks and umbrella (that, thankfully we didn’t need) and were met by the awesome host who told us all the rules and sent us on our way. It is really wonderful that this boat rental exists. You certainly cannot have this experience for a more reasonable price. I wanted to go by the house where I lived years ago, but was unable to because the last bridge was just 1” too low for the boat to go under, dang it! Although we went off of the advised route, we were able to safely traverse the canals of Amsterdam. It was the perfect day, just the threat of rain with only a small sprinkling for less than 10 minutes. The whole perspective of Amsterdam changes from a boat on a canal. It’s magical. You don’t have to worry about bicycles, haha! There are so many smaller canals that are so lovely to see that you normally wouldn’t be able to with the big tour boats. There is nothing like piloting your own boat in Amsterdam. It’s the greatest!!! There is nothing like being the master of your own destiny!”

“WOW! What an amazing ‘dam’ experience! My only regret is not having done this on the first day of my time in Amsterdam. The tour was a perfect introduction to the city! Our guide provided the context of Amsterdam, necessary in building a foundation for exploring this dense and lively place. The guide was down to earth and was well studied but not robotic or scripted. He included personal flare, a passionate way of story telling, and asked us questions allowing the experience to be engaging and adapted to our group. He managed to recall detailed facts and wove together the fibres of Amsterdam’s fruition, all while driving a boat through areas allowing us to see the commentary come to life in front of us! He spoke to Amsterdams social context, history, achievements and downfalls. As a member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, I was enamoured when he discussed the history of a gay memorial, a spot that other guests said their previous tours hadn’t mentioned. The guide did an excellent job of relating Amsterdam to various home countries of our group and managed to weave in storied from WWII, the 1400-1500s, modern day social context of Amsterdam, the economy, architecture, city design, restaurant and activity recommendations. Ina edition: The boat ride itself was a lovely relaxing way of seeing the city: It provided a perspective, unique from that when cycling or walking. I, unfortunately, have forgotten our guides name, but i can tell you that he is from South Africa, has been living in Amsterdam for 10 years, and he moved to Amsterdam for love. Thank you for the passionate and inspiring tour!”

You will have different experience if u travel in the day time and if u travel in the night. we booked in the evening so we were very lucky to see the city in daylight and in the night along with the sunset. it was perfect weather when we visited there. only parking issue, we have to be lucky to get parking near by the cruse. its worth paying for the cruse.”
