“Beautiful, yet haunting memorial to Alabama's veterans. The sounds and serenity of nature, with numerous benches and resting places along the path to the memorial itself. My favorite local place to walk, to remember, and to meditate.”

“The fields nice, but slick not really sure why. Parking was very difficult, looks like it was just paved but no parking lines, drove around for 20 minutes then had to just block people in. Also seems because of the paving no overflow, so now maybe fewer parking slots? Lots of effort to make it nicer, so maybe afterwards it will be better.”

“It's a mainly flat wide walking trail around the ball fields. There isn't a large grade change so its relatively easy to walk and enjoy the time out there. It does run along side a the Black Creek so you can see ducks and such. Which is pleasant as well. There is a longer bike path that will take you all the way to Fieldstown Road near Celebration Park. If you are looking for a longer ride with more variations in grade that's a good path to take. Not super challenging, but will make you work for it. You can easily get a 20 mile ride in on this path if you want a good ride.”

“As far as a dog park, I enjoy this location. Both for it's size and bags given to pick up poo, but the only thing I can do without is the gate, the lock hasn't worked now for well over a year, other than that. Excellent”

“Kenneth Cunningham is an amazing Family Service Manager! He not only assisted with the purchase of my Mother's plot but with the marker as well. The transaction was seamless and smooth. He was kind and courteous at all times. I have and will continue to recommend him and the Elmwood Cemetery staff to everyone that I know, when they need it! Oh and might I mention that the Cemetery is SO well kept compared to many others. It makes me proud that this is my Mom's final resting place!”

“Lots of places to play and explore! Soccer field, lake with walking trail, wooded trail, 4 kids play structures (mostly age 3+), tennis courts, 2 large pavilions, and lots of parking. I didn't check the restroom because it was a too long walk uphill for the kiddos. Lots of places to play in the creeks. I felt it was a little dangerous for my 1 and 3 year old to just run about with so many hills, rocks, and water, but with supervision they had lots of fun.”

“Such an amazing Botanical Garden. All the separate areas are great. The Fern Glade and Herb Garden were my favorite spots. But so many cool gardens to enjoy, someone could easily lose an hour or two looking around at the beautiful plants. Having the Bee hives on site is very awesome!”
