My husband and I are currently living on the east coast while building new construction in Alaska, as such we could not personally attend any selection meetings, however Nicole helped us expertly over zoom and via email. She was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, patient and made so many valuable suggestions as we designed the kitchen, selected flooring, carpet, tile etc over zoom. She was always so mindful of our budget and did an outstanding job of providing us with so many options that were in budget. “Wonderful experience with Builders Choice. I was in need of roofing shingles to do a repair and apparently no one in anchorage carries this type of shingle. Keith at BC went above and beyond to help me out and was able to locate a vendor to ship up what we needed!! After getting denied from multiple other building supply stores it was nice to finally find one that was willing to help me out! Definitely will go there first for anything else I might need in the future.”

“A bit of a wait for a seat at the tail end of brunch, but understandable around the holidays. Service was fast despite the packed house and everything was clean. Food was good, but not great. The chicken mulligatawny soup was flavorful but the chicken felt dry. I also got the veggie hash which was full of onions (yum) but I would have liked to have more than one piece of toast for the dish. My friend's French toast was tasty too. Nothing really blew me out of the water however. Worth a visit if you're looking for brunch, their cocktail menu looked great!”

“More than a decade ago I came back from a deployment to Iraq and wanted to start a fly fishing program in Alaska to help wounded soldiers learn to fly fish as a form of physical and emotional therapy. I approached Mossy's and they were entirely supportive. They helped point me to some wonderful folks to help teach fly tying (Alaska Fly Fishers), to some guides that would become partners with the program, and each time I visited they were nothing but positive and welcoming. I walked into the store this evening and saw those same welcoming, smiling faces. It just made my day! Thank you Mossy's for everything you do for the community and for your kindness and friendship. “Went to O'Reilly for $4 spark plugs. They tried selling me $14 platinum plugs. Did not tell me there were cheaper plugs available, only given the 300% more expensive choice. So I asked, why are the plugs so expensive, because they are platinum. I asked, "Are there not cheaper plugs?" told no ??? Drove down to Napa, had no issues, no problems, offered all plugs, cheaper ones as I knew for $$3.99 ea. Saved well over $65.”
