This is a small area and the hours are short but it is a step in the right direction from the previous ban on the park for model aircraft use. Here's to hoping we can see extended hours in this are land of the mid night sun!”

Riverside RV & Camper Park

Campground Lodging Park Supermarket Store

“Leslie, our host, was most gracious and helpful in getting us set up with a shady campsite close to the river. The park has plenty of full hook-ups including sewer. It’s quiet and right on the river. The bathrooms, showers and laundry room are the cleanest I’ve ever seen! And plenty of room in the bathroom (separate from the showers) and plenty of individual shower rooms. There were 8-10 washing machines and dryers and the laundry area was roomy. There was lots to do and see in Fairbanks and we ended up staying two extra nights beyond our original plan. Highly recommend this RV park!”

The sites and views are amazing and beautiful, that’s all I can really say. I plan to come back next year in the summer and really see what it’s about. I highly recommend you come and see it!!!”

We loved the peaceful settings; beautiful mountains, wildlife, great fishing, and overall character of Hope. Our hosts, Skip and Lisa, were friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. We loved having a stocked kitchen, fishing gear, and laundry right at our fingertips. We would definitely recommend Alaskan Byways to anyone and we can't wait to visit again!”

Eagle River Campgrounds

Address: Eagle River, AK 99577, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“Spacious sites. Very quiet and comfortable. Clean pit bathrooms and potable water available. Highly recommend!”

Briggs Bridge

Address: Lower Eagle River Trail, Eagle River, AK 99577, USA

Park

“Enjoyable morning walk in our neighborhood. The Eagle River is frozen right now, though likely not for long. To hear the crunch of crusted snow underfoot while the river still rushes under ice is an auditory gift. When the sun is out (and even when it’s not) any trail along the Eagle River promises spectacular scenery. Walking on waves frozen as if they were tectonic plates is precarious but equally exciting. Good walking poles and cleats help in the winter. I’d suggest poles for summer treks as well. Walking near rivers requires caution, no matter the season. Enjoy but keep a safe distance from open water. Don’t try to cross in any conditions less than ideal and without proper training or assistance. Remember, bears frequent the area in Spring, Summer and Fall, moose as well.”
