“Wonderful experience with Builders Choice. I was in need of roofing shingles to do a repair and apparently no one in anchorage carries this type of shingle. Keith at BC went above and beyond to help me out and was able to locate a vendor to ship up what we needed!! After getting denied from multiple other building supply stores it was nice to finally find one that was willing to help me out! Definitely will go there first for anything else I might need in the future.”

“We did this today and it was the highlight to our trip to Alaska. Peter was our guide. He has so many interesting stories to share and was wonderful. Ryan was our lead musher with his assistant Hunter and his fiancée Sarah. They were incredible. Ryan is the grandson of Joe Redington who created the Iditarod decades ago….it was absolutely amazing to ride with him and listen to his stories growing up as a musher and racer from birth. I was skeptical about this activity as a dog lover, thinking this had an element of cruelty for dogs but I am happy to be wrong. These dogs are bred into racing and they love it. They were so excited to be ready to run the course and they are so beautifully treated by the entire team. The way these dogs were treated was so great…the team just knew what they needed, provided breaks through the course, water bowls and gave us the opportunity to pet and appreciate these gorgeous animals. After an incredible ride through beautiful mountains, over a roaring brook and passing a stunningly pretty blue sea and a glacier known as Milk Glacier, we were led to a cabin where the history of the Iditarod was explained by Ryan. Beautiful photos, the opportunity to feel his sled, try on his coat and beaver fur gloves AND to play with a group of puppies that were 34 days old….the puppies: Waffle, Bacon, Eggs, Benedict, and Pancake were so fabulous. I would HIGHLY recommend this activity to EVERYONE. It rained while we did this experience and the weather did not deter from the wonder of this experience. I have such an appreciation now for this sport, the Redington team and am so glad to have Ryan, Hunter, Sarah and Peter give us such a wonderful memory!”

“If you're looking for antiques and some unique modern items then you need to visit Rusty Raven Uniques. Rusty Raven Uniques is the closest antique store to the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport; approximately 4-5 miles or an 11 minute drive. I was impressed with the collection of kitchen and home antiques. I think Rusty Raven Uniques is the only antique store in Anchorage with a fishing lure taller than myself! If you have a home bar then you'll find some amazing neon signs, taps, and antique merchandise. You'll need at least an hour to see most of the antiques in the store. “Beyond friendly and accommodating service every single time I've been to Jumpin' Java. It used to be close to my house and I went there for coffee in the morning on average 3-5 days a week for several years since they opened up. Always had the pleasure of receiving a customer experience that was personal and customized to me, and was always made delicious cups of coffee tailoring to my strange and whacky ideas pertaining to a cup of coffee. My 2 brothers also have been going there for years several times a week and I believe still do as its on their way to work, and they have always told stories of similarly amazing customer experiences at Jumpin' Java. There's not much more I can put into words about how amazing this place is, truly cant say enough good things. You will have to go and see for yourself. Enjoy!!”

“Love our hardware we added to the cabinets. Deluxe interior had a larger selection of the collection we liked compared to other places we went to in the Valley with competitive pricing too. We were wanting a more classic look for our fireplace and fell in love with the tile brick they had. Prior to seeing the tile here, I can’t count how many other places we went to and found nothing similar! I originally wrote a review here a couple days back thinking we had difficulties with call backs. Immediately the owner Laura, reached out to us, with great record keeping, turned out to be a misunderstanding on my part. It meant the world to me that she responded promptly and had a genuine concern we were unhappy customers. I’ve deleted my original review, and humbly say I was incorrect and in fact their customer service was impeccable as well as their follow through! We would definitely go back to Deluxe Interiors for future home needs!”
