“Roy was our guide and treated us to a great week of phenomenal views and sightseeing. It was a personable and memorable experience that I get to keep for the rest of my life. Our fellow vacationers were also a lot of fun to have around and am glad to have met such great people along the way. Alaska is a beautiful state and using Alaskan Tour Guides will navigate you through great places to visit taking the headache of having to plan an itinerary out of your hands. Thank you so much for providing us with such a great time!”

“I had a great experience with Alaska Backcountry Access. The Spencer Glacier snowmachine tour was great coming with Ryan our personal guide in addition to the great guides from the company. I liked the rarer to find glaciers that we could only get to from the frozen river and I also liked the snow machine with the heated handles. The best part is we booked last minute when another company canceled our boating tour due to bad weather. We went in whiteout snow storm and they had to guide us by GPS be man did we get it done!”

“Great snow mobile trip and tour, spent time by a fire and they served hot dogs, had a bunch of fun on the trails! The only downside is the long can ride from the check in to the snow mobiles in the packed van. But in order to get up to the trails and get the gorgeous views, it's a necessary evil. Would highly recommend!”

“Linda was an incredible host. My flight was cancelled, and she was happy to be flexible with moving the dates of our stay. The Birch Cove Cabin was beautifully designed and cozy during the winter, and the jetted hot tub was a great addition :) I'd love to see what the summer has in store for this place!”

“After a terrible experience with another rafting company in the area we called Wildland adventures and they were able to get us in for a same day afternoon float. Everyone was great, especially Matt, our guide. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time and saw a large variety of wildlife!”

“This is a very good company. They go the extra mile and are very nice. I have in the past three days taken two river trips with them and both were excellent. The guides know what they are doing and are full of Alaska knowledge. We fished with Hambone and rafted with Jess. They are both amazing people. Kevin picked us up after rafting and we watched both a brown bear and black bear near the shore. Lots of other wildlife was seen on the trips. This is a wonderful place with great staff. We couldn’t be happier with our trips. Thank you Alaska Rivers Company.”

“We were very pleased with Alpine Campervans! The inside is super clean and super comfortable! The van itself was easy to drive and park. It seems like it gets really good gas milage, too.It was everything we needed for our little four day excursion around Alaska. Highly recommended by us.”

“Great outfitter. They have permits for the sanctuary section which very few people have and it’s very regulated. It’s an amazing spot to fish and we caught a bunch. We went the day after the Kenai opened. The boats and equipment were top notch. Our guide Lucas was very knowledgeable, on top of everything, gave great advice and was relaxed and enjoyable/ fun to spend the day with. Ty, the owner is very nice and accommodating and runs a great company. Will do many more trips with them again. Highly recommend!”

“I brought my 1yo and 4yo, they both enjoyed the cabin and the horses. The cabin we rented was small and cozy, I enjoyed it very much. Linens were fresh and there was access to a common kitchen. Being our 4yo was a little young for a trail ride we got a short 15min ride around the ranch.(she Loved it) All the folks there seemed very knowledgeable in there roles and there always was something happening. I am going back and bringing more family as this was the perfect little retreat.”

“This place is amazing! First time to Alaska & Creekside Cabins definitely made our vacation complete. My brother & I came to visit his son who he hadn’t seen in 18 years. The cabin gave us that right at home feeling & the opportunity to bbq, visit with family & take in the beautiful views. Everything was very clean & cozy & Diane was very accommodating & a pleasure to do business with. We will definitely stay here again on future vacations! Thanks again Diane! “We did this today and it was the highlight to our trip to Alaska. Peter was our guide. He has so many interesting stories to share and was wonderful. Ryan was our lead musher with his assistant Hunter and his fiancée Sarah. They were incredible. Ryan is the grandson of Joe Redington who created the Iditarod decades ago….it was absolutely amazing to ride with him and listen to his stories growing up as a musher and racer from birth. I was skeptical about this activity as a dog lover, thinking this had an element of cruelty for dogs but I am happy to be wrong. These dogs are bred into racing and they love it. They were so excited to be ready to run the course and they are so beautifully treated by the entire team. The way these dogs were treated was so great…the team just knew what they needed, provided breaks through the course, water bowls and gave us the opportunity to pet and appreciate these gorgeous animals. After an incredible ride through beautiful mountains, over a roaring brook and passing a stunningly pretty blue sea and a glacier known as Milk Glacier, we were led to a cabin where the history of the Iditarod was explained by Ryan. Beautiful photos, the opportunity to feel his sled, try on his coat and beaver fur gloves AND to play with a group of puppies that were 34 days old….the puppies: Waffle, Bacon, Eggs, Benedict, and Pancake were so fabulous. I would HIGHLY recommend this activity to EVERYONE. It rained while we did this experience and the weather did not deter from the wonder of this experience. I have such an appreciation now for this sport, the Redington team and am so glad to have Ryan, Hunter, Sarah and Peter give us such a wonderful memory!”

“The lake is really beautiful. The locals here told us about the place and hence we went for it. The place is immensely beautiful in its own way. The pretty fall colors could be seen everywhere. Before the lake you can see the scenic beauty via the drive to the lake. It's a 10-12 mile drive to the lake view point. We did the twin peaks trail which is 2.6 miles and it is moderate. The trail does have steep climb, but while climbing up the trail provides amazing view of the mountains and lake. We were not able to finish the trail due to time constraint, as it was getting quite late and almost sunset time. A definite add on to the Alaska itinerary but keep in mind the time if you anyone wants to do the trail, it's worth the view.”
