“Don't bother going anywhere else for counter tops. My boyfriend and I renovated a house a few years ago and had a horrible experience with a company in Anchorage. I won't call out the company because they did right by us and gave a full refund but the job they did was comically terrible. There were chips in the quartz, a corner was clearly broken off and glued back on, the slab was not square on the cabinets, they claimed an undermount bathroom sink "was not square" and that's why the cut out was crooked (Panco used the exact same sink with zero issues) and the seams were just horrendous. Panco came in after months of headache and did an absolutely gorgeous job. Night and day difference between the two installs. Years later we still could not be happier with our counter tops and are about to place our second order with them on our new rental.”

“You won't beat a good handwash but this is second best. Fully touch less and the monthly pass is worth it if you always have to have a clean car. After 3 or 4 washes it's already paid itself. In the winter I go 2-3x a week and it's totally worth the price. Even if you go 1x a week you'll be saving money over paying for a single wash. They've been upgrading all the bays with better equipment and new wash plans. I haven't used the new wash plan because I'm grandfathered into the old pricing plan. Use the bathroom before you come and bring a snack. It can get very busy as you can see. It's 2nd spring and ever bay at 4-5 cars in line.”

“I recently took the basic riding course with Allie and Carly as the main instructors, with their dad and Rick assisting. Their instruction was the perfect blend of being firm, friendly, fair and frank. I felt safe at all times. As someone who has never ridden a motorcycle before, I was surprised at how well the curriculum flowed and how quickly everyone in the class learned. Even if you’re not interested in getting licensed, this class was was a fun and entertaining was to spend the weekend I recommend to anyone wanting to learn a new skill!”

“Very nice conservation center with spacious enclosures for the animals. We truly enjoyed our time there. You have the opportunity to ride or drive to see the animals. We drove through first and then walked. Spent over 3 hours here and could have stayed longer but had to start our drive to Homer. We were there at the right time to hear a concert of howling by the wolves. We loved seeing that all the animals were well cared for. Staff were helpful and informative.”

“To say that my experiences with flying, airports, and airlines and all that's involved is not as much fun as it used to be is an understatement to say the least. As a matter of fact, at 87, it has become something that I dread, and to be avoided at all costs. That is, until yesterday, when I escorted an elderly lady, my girl friend, to her flight from Portland, Oregon to Philadelphia on Alaska Airlines. We were greeted at the Alaska Airlines counter by an attractive, smiling, woman , who radiated, to our surprise, a very pleasant and helpful attitude. She, her name was Stephanie, went out of her way to help us with troublesome luggage, that had to be re-packed, and our own elder confusion with the flight details. This was patiently done during a busy time with a lengthy backed up line of people waiting behind us, Stephanie was relaxed and did not make us feel stressed or hurried because we were holding up the others waiting in line. She not only relieved our apprehension but made our day as we left smiling. She obviously likes her job. If the rest of your employees are anything like Stephanie I will think of Alaska Airlines if, or rather when, I choose to fly again.”

“My son who is now 12 has been attending Chung's for the past 6 years and is now a junior black belt (black belt candidate). I took classes for about 6 months when he first started but then I changed jobs and got too busy to continue - I only made it to green belt. Master Ron and his family that run the school are friendly and honest about their expectations. Master Ron expects everybody to hold to the tenets of Tae Kwon Do: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control, and Indomitable Spirit. During one of our first classes, Master Ron had to discipline my son for goofing off during class. He did raise his voice and got right in my son's face about it. Later, during the same class when my son got something right, Master Ron put his arm around him and told him that he was now doing a good job. He is just as quick to praise good behavior as he is to discipline for bad. Which is exactly what our son needed at the time. If you (or your child) can't handle honest criticism and hard work to become a better person and athlete, then maybe Chung's isn't for you. Chung's Tae Kwon Do Institute has moved several times over the years (we started attending class at Master Ron's house in his basement), but in their latest location they do have a CCTV system set up for parents to watch class from the waiting room/reception area. Master Ron has always allowed parents to observe classes whenever they choose since we started there.”

“We stumbled across Kahtnu when Googling places to stay in Alaska, and it was the best decision we made during our 2 week trip! The cabin is perfect for couples: amazing views of the river, a quiet front porch to watch eagles soaring through the canyon, and tasteful touches from hosts Lorraine and Mike (breakfast parfaits, fresh ground coffee, and hard boiled eggs waiting in the fridge to name a few!). The friendly huskies were an added touch for dog lovers like us. Highly recommend!”
