“Hiked some of these trails with my wife and 3 year old daughter. Like the fact that there are a variety of trails branching everywhere. We encountered about 3 groups of people the whole time we were out there. The area is extremely relaxing. Definitely our new place to explore. We started at the National Trail - West End off of Estrella Drive... There aren't any parking lots, so we had to park on the side of the road.”

“I remember back in the day how sketchy this park was. I feel like it's safer now. I don't know if it's an illusion or if it really is genuinely improved. I definitely feel more comfortable being at this park than I did 20 years ago. Perhaps the addition of the library helped, maybe it's the upgrading of the facilities or perhaps it's the residents in the area. I feel like their is more pride and concern from the visitors to the park. They actually want a clean, nice, safe, family friendly environment so they/we are all working together to keep it that way. I just love seeing the community take pride and ownership in the public spaces we share. Keep it up Phoenix and Laveen. We can have all the nice, safe, family friendly spaces as long as we all put forth the effort to clean up after ourselves and keep a neighborly eye on the kids and animals in and around the park. Let's help keep each other safe.”

“Kids play area needs some up keep. Toddler area has a slide blocked off broken. And it's faded and graffiti. This is the park I have seen in Phoenix with no shaded play area. Bonus was the run down water area a fee broken things but not to bad place for the kids just not enough shade for a phoenix park”

“The dog has make many friends here and they play wonderfully. They're so excited when they see you pull in to park. They're ready to go and play. It's very clean and has two sides to the park. One side is for big dog breeds and the other for small dog breeds.”

“Nice park with small lake. Great for kids and families.”

“It's a normal Park but not one of my favorites. There is barely shade with all the still growing trees and it's all just very flat but it is nicer at night especially if there's a soccer game going on. The playground is one of the finest and most creative I've seen like seriously it is perfect for kids who love to climb everything! There is a basketball court, a soccer field, and a volley ball field (no net though) and that's about it, I recommend going in the evening though.”
