“Discovered serenity at Monterey Park. Its pristine upkeep and lush surroundings made for a calming escape. Families picnicked under the shady trees, kids laughed on the playground, and the air was filled with contentment. An oasis of tranquility in the city – Monterey Park is my new favorite spot for unwinding.”

“For a beautiful, yet family-friendly hike, head to Papago Park. There's a large parking lot with information boards and drinking fountains nearby. Then follow the path to the rocks great for climbing. My wife, six-year-old daughter and I loved the short hike and scramble up the rocks for a beautiful view of the area.”

“Wonderful trail that keeps you moving.. of course I'm not one to stay on the beaten path.. there are some trails that adventure off to see some awesome views. Maybe not recommended and I wouldn't climb on too much but it is tempting. A few picnic areas with shade after a nice hike. But getting to the top seems worth the time getting there.. enjoy. Restrooms are at the entrance... It might be wise to go before and after :-)”

“Absolutely LOVE this dog park. I just moved from Ahwatukee a couple weeks ago but during the 3 years I lived there I brought my dog here several times a week and always had a great experience. They have a good amount of space to run around, there are always balls out there for them to play with and big buckets of water to drink, and there are several tables to sit down at that are shaded by a big ramada. Everybody is really good about cleaning up after their dogs and all the ppl I've met there are wonderful. Even at its busiest it never feels over-crowded. There are 2 separate gated areas, one for small dogs and one for big dogs, and they both sit in the corner of a larger grass field that is nowhere near any main roads or busy streets. Every time I took my dog there, as soon as we'd pull into the parking lot she would go crazy with excitement.. she LOVED that park and all her doggy friends there and we will both truly miss spending time there every week. I highly recommend this park to anyone wanting to take their fur babies out to play and socialize with other dogs, they'll have a blast! I would honestly give it 10 stars if I could!!🐾🐶❤ *P.S. - If your dog enjoys playing in the water and/or swimming, Google the Cosmo Dog Park in Gilbert. It's a beautiful little beach for dogs with a large pool to swim and grassy fields for them to run. You can thank me later ;-)”

“We had never been here before but since it was close to our Happy Valley area Hotel, we decided to give it a try. Not too difficult and probably just about the right length(well too long for my wife!)for our 60+ year old legs. We did a combination of two trails, the Hawk and Desert trails. Nice scenery and pretty well maintained. Nice trail head rest area as well.”

“My son chose Tiger Mountain Foundation for a volunteer project for school. He completed his hours and continues to ask to volunteer. Darren Chapman, founder of Tiger Mountain Foundation approaches this garden with a contagious enthusiasm, and an optimistic outlook for South Phoenix that anyone who shows up can see, he is not planting a garden but building a community!”

“The park has a few years on it so somethings could use some repairs like the rubber cement but overall its still very nice. There's only one way into the area and it's not the most accessible but not unreasonable considering it's location. My kids loved it but even on a 90 degree day the pool and splash pad were off. The sun sails provided good shade. Would go again.”

“Great local hike to get outside and be in nature. The main hike is half a mile to the top and 500 ft in elevation change. Beautiful 360 view all around from the top. Plenty of little trails around the mountain if you’re not looking to summit. Took me 10 minutes to the top of the mountain from parking lot going my fastest pace.”

“This is such a great spot! Very nice, clean and looks to be recently renovated community center that got pool tables, individual study desk, small group work stations, classrooms to rent out, outdoor courtyard seating, pool tables, games, basketball court, PH balanced water stations among other things. Please note that you need to get either a day pass for $2 from the front desk or a $20 annual membership subscription from the front desk at either of the center locations ( connects by previously mentioned courtyard *see pics) as there is a youth/ general facility and theb a senior center building right next door. There's a lot of really great resources and activities etc available that you should consult front desk about as fees are separate in some cases and individualized and others.. we're talking art classes fitness classes recreational activities and even meal programs.. they have benefits at their senior center for patrons 60 years and up however if you are 18 years or older with a disability you are also able to participate in the availability. They even have meals they're doing starting up soon which I think entail a lunch in the afternoon that if not covered by the senior membership can be obtained with the 18 or older disability thing at a slightly additional cost per meal. Legitimately impressed, as the other day when finding out the membership costs I was kind of put off because off at the idea of paying to get access to the facilities but you can definitely see that the funds are absolutely needed and worth the price of admission seriously the impressed feeling I have right now after my conversation with the ladies at the front is extremely rare so if you're interested take a look spread the word the place is like a ghost town they could surely use the activity and crowd . Take a look it's located NW corner of the park.”

“Very well maintained Park IMO. There are Maintenance people there most of the time so very few homeless people. Plenty of shade trees and they put wood chips in the playground. There are 2 Basketball courts, and they have a Cornhole game near the playground. In the Spring the parents bring their kids to play soccer.”

“Really beautiful hike! If you can get up early, do it. The sunrise at the peak was absolutely to die for. It's not the easiest hike... so come prepared. I'm talking tons of water, comfy shoes, a headlamp if you start really early. But it is so worth it!! I use the all trails app and it seems pretty up to date so I would recommend taking a look at that map and screenshot it on your phone, just so you know what trail to take and when to turn for the peak. There are multiple trails and stuff around this area it seems like. It's not supper easy to get lost though, the desert helps with that because you're not surrounded by tall trees or anything. It's pretty clear the direction you need to go the whole time. Hope this helps! Happy hiking 😊”
