“This is my favorite park with my kids! It's beautiful, quiet, shaded, and surrounded by nature. Good place for kids, dogs, hiking, and basketball. My kids love riding their Scooters and bikes on the big basketball court area. The bathrooms are my favorite... made from nature. We've had each of our kids' birthdays here for the last 4 years, and everyone agrees that it's worth the drive! It's even more magical at sunset! Great spot for a photography session at Golden Hour.”

“Of all the dog parks in the area, this one seems to be the cleanest/best maintained, and frequented by people who have invested at least some basic training time with their dogs. We’re typically here once or twice a week, and I can’t think of a time we’ve had to deal with aggressive dogs or questionable owners. If you have a very young, small, passive or timid dog, this would be a great place to begin socializing as they have an area specifically for those purposes - and the active dog areas are large enough so that your pup can get some space if need be. We also like the fact that this place is so well-lit at night, so that our dog can still safely enjoy off-leash time in the summer when the sun goes down; there are also water fountains in and outside the park areas to keep things cool, which as you know is key for any active dog in AZ.”

“Jackrabbit Park is a fantastic destination for families and anyone who loves spending time outdoors. The park boasts large grass fields that are perfect for a game of frisbee or tag, as well as a fun play structure that will keep kids entertained for hours. One thing that makes Jackrabbit Park stand out is its open and spacious layout. Unlike some parks that can feel cramped or overcrowded, Jackrabbit Park provides ample room to run and play, with plenty of shade trees to keep visitors cool on hot days. The play structure highlights the park, offering a range of fun and engaging activities for kids of all ages. From slides and swings to climbing walls, there's something for everyone. The structure is also well-maintained, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all who use it. The grass fields are another major draw of Jackrabbit Park. Whether you're looking to kick a ball around with friends or relax with a picnic lunch, the vast greenery provides a peaceful and inviting setting. And if you're in the mood for a bit more physical activity, the open fields are perfect for a game of catch or frisbee. Jackrabbit Park is a beautiful destination that offers something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a fun and engaging play structure or a peaceful and spacious place to enjoy the outdoors, this park is worth a visit. The large grass fields and the fun play structure are just a few reasons to check out Jackrabbit Park!”

“Love》Love》Love this place for the supersized toys for birds with a busy beak like my family's Macaw, Harley. (also cockatoos for sure!) She's a bigtime wood chewer and chomp, chomp, chomps large toys fast at an average rate of 1 minute per/ $1 (dollar) spent if you can believe that! SO, it's nice to find larger block toys of variety at a reasonable price”

“Other than the insistence of people bringing Boom Boxes into the one place of peace and quiet is beyond me but that only speaks for the people not the park. This park is very well maintained and has many things to do. There’s a beach and large dock as well as a park and many trails for walking or mountain bikes. Wonderful park for families.”

“The gardening is superb in layout and selections. The information is sparse to none. It is possible for people to not know they are in the zeriscape or why or how. It was a beautiful day in the low 89s. The neighboring dog park had a lot of people coming, going or enjoying the unleashed dog park. I was in the zeriscape for 30 minutes and didn't see 10 people on a fall Sunday afternoon.”

“Closed (even though the USDAFS shows open). Google navigated our minivan down a dirt forest road through some sweet 4x4 trails bypassing the main road closure (that we didn't know included this area) and when we got to needle rock recreation area it looked like the Walking Dead with everything overgrown and no one around. It was kinda cool if I'm being honest but didn't want to get towed so I let the kids catch some butterflies and caterpillars then we left.”

“It's a very huge park. It may not look like much from the outside. It's just one sidewalk that passes through a stretch of green grass, and there's not much in terms of scenery. However, there's a lot to do in this park. They have so many sports courts for all the sports you desire- bocce ball, racquetball, basketball; they even have a tennis center! They also had 2 showers at the front. I'm truly impressed. Also, they have a playground area and the main play area is shaded under a roof so you can stay cool. :)”

“A very nice and well maintained park close to home. The people who use and enjoy this park are friendly and respectful. Plenty of sand, swings, climbing features, and shaded picnic tables. It also has plenty of grass area for sports, and concrete walkways away from the streets. There is also a path that runs from the back of the park, to MountainView road”

“The pickleball courts just got renovated I guess and they’re pretty good. There’s a fair amount of courts. Decent players come here T/Th evenings at the moment. Other than that I’ve only seen personal groups playing.”

“Really beautiful to see..just prepare for the climate. Pretty warm and humid, tropical environment in the sanctuary. Very friendly staff. Short 3d film on monarch butterflies is interesting for all ages. Face mask is required..so again..be prepared for the tropical environment. The multi entertainment ticket is your best bet, a little pricey for just the butterfly exhibit especially due to the fact that you really cannot stay in there for too long due to the heat. There is a small aquatic and reptile walk through exhibit included. Fun day!!”

“Incredible experience. Staff/ volunteers were so genuine, friendly and passionate about the animals and cause they serve. Diane was our tour guide and her dedication to the happiness and success of these animals was apparent in everything she did. Don't miss the rare opportunity this facility has to offer; give back and get to know the wonderful creatures that inhabit this beautiful desert landscape.”
