“Great park! Baby swings and fun playground (It is not covered). It was very low-key and quiet when we went on a nice Sunday afternoon. A good place to relax and avoid large crowds at the popular playgrounds.”

“Great hikes and you can always add others trails to make longer hikes if you want. Parking lot is small but they do have an overflow parking lt so that does help out too.”

“Nice new trailhead with good parking, washroom facilities, water and maps. Volunteers on hand to help you decide on which hike (or bike riding trail) best suits your wants and needs. My friend and I hiked here during the Super Bloom (yes, capitalized) and it was spectacular! Great views over Fountain Hills and to the north.”

“Pinnacle Peak is phenomenal. I lived nearby here for many years and did not realize the beauty that was right next to me. It is a very short and simple hike to the top of the peak, which isn’t actually really the top. They do not let you go all the way to the top, but it is still well worth it. Most hikers of any level or age would be able to handle this quite easily. I highly recommend it the views will not disappoint.”

“This is one of the best interpretive nature trails in the Phoenix/Scottsdale AZ. This one is very clean and well-paved with a concrete 0.5 mile loop. The loop is also accessible and it looks very aesthetically pleasing too. You can take your time browsing through each of the signs to learn new things, and there are pictures as well for the visual learners. Additionally, at each of the signs- they list out exercises and stretches that you can do while reading the sign. Learning and exercising: win-win!”

“Lost Dog Wash is great - try some of the other trails to get away from the crowds. The best trailhead building in the Valley designed by Black Rock Studio.”

“Great place for a start. 5.3 to 5.10 climbs and lots in the 5.7 range. Several routes near each other.”
Address: 7625 E Williams Dr, Scottsdale, AZ 85255, USA
“Very clean. Cute little toddler playground and even better big kid area. I went on a Tues around 11am and no one was there. Both little playgrounds are shaded! Bathrooms, parking close to park, basketball courts and large picnic area that's shaded. Beautiful landscaping and clean.”

“So clean, so close to a piece of the desert. Perfect idea in the perfect spot.”
Address: 23015 N 128th St, Scottsdale, AZ 85255, USA
“Always a great hike at this location. You can find a moderate hike to Tom's Thumb, easy family hikes or very long trail runs through the mountain. One of the few places on McDowell Mtn that my 4-year old son loves. Wish they had running water at this location, but not a big deal.”
Address: 9555 N 120th St, Scottsdale, AZ 85259, USA
“We have just moved into a house that is around the corner from this park and couldn't be happier. Very nice arena and lunging area as well. The arena had a control panel with buttons to turn light and sprinklers on which I believe are timed. They also have bathrooms and what looks like a space that can be used for small gatherings. There is space for parking trailers for folks who have to trailer in thier horses as well.”
Address: 10887 E Karen Dr, Scottsdale, AZ 85255, USA
“This moderate level hike is highly rocky but well maintained. It is common to see families with young children and dogs and it is well attended by retirees. Views of the valleys, passes and hills provide plenty of locations for photos. Nature exhibits and varied walking trails make it easy to pick what is best for you. Wear proper hiking shoes for the best experience. Highly recommended for outdoor types with good physical fitness.”
Address: Windgate Pass Trail, Scottsdale, AZ 85255, USA
“Nice trail. The Windgate Pass leads from the Gateway Loop to the Inspiration Viewpoint. The Windgate Pass is going to get you a bit winded. There was a lot of upward climbing! The trail was a bit rocky too. However, the lucky thing was it's not straight up, but rather a step formation where you go up for a bit, then it levels out for a little, and then up for a bit, etc etc. It's worth to get up this trail. Once you reach Inspiration Viewpoint, you get a scenic overlook of the preserve.”
Address: Scottsdale, AZ 85255, USA
“This is a nice little hike, with a pretty decent view from inspiration point. I would rate this as an easy hike although I think it’s rated as moderate. Part of the trail is a bit rocky, so shoes with good tread is advisable although we hiked in running shoes. There are a few other trails you can take if you want to make the trip down different than the trip up. This is a short easy hike in the parking lot is nice and large. We had no problems parking, and the facilities here are very nice.”

“It's park on the smaller size but has worked out well for our family when needed. Several Ramada's and a bathroom. People complain that's it to far from the ball fields but forget with the playground area being right there by the parking lot and is used more it's better for their use then the occasional ball game. The conveience store north of the Tennis Courts is also nice to have when those drinks run out on a hotter day. Maintained pretty well and electrical outlets at the Ramada areas. Several typically Park BBQ grills as well.”
Address: Levee Trail, Scottsdale, AZ 85255, USA
“The parking lot is middle-sized, but the greatest part about it, is that you can come to park here before sunrise and then get your hike started early. This is especially helpful in the summer when you want to beat the heat. It's not a gated lot, so you can come and go as you please. It connects with the Levee trail (? forgot the name) which is not a very impressive trail. It's very flat, but once you walk for about a few minutes, you do reach the Gateway trail which then connects with other trails. Much more scenic along those trails...”
Address: Scottsdale, AZ 85255, USA
“Great place for a family walk! Lots of Beautiful Deseret Cactus and Shrubs to See and Enjoy. Bring your camera, because it's some of the best Desert Scenery in the Scottsdale area. There are several short trails to choose from (for a mile to three walk) if you have little children, or you can go for a more adventurous 8 mile hike around the park. Go to the trail head Pavillion for directions, or a FREE Trail Map. For your convenience - they have clean restrooms and drinking fountains where you can fill up your water bottles and apply your sunscreen.”
Address: Saguaro Loop Trail, Scottsdale, AZ 85255, USA
“I love the Saguaro Loop trail. It's a short 20-25 minute stroll on a sandy path when you first enter the park from the parking lot and before you run into the Gateway loop. They have a lot of informative signs along the way so you can learn about the desert plants and animals. Very relaxing loop, and especially beautiful to see around sunset.”
