“Great little Park in the Suburban neighborhood, has approximately 8 outside grills and two of them are big ramadas. The field is plenty big for the neighborhood kids to play a game of soccer or throw a football.”

“We were unable to get a spot earlier last week - April (it's very popular, especially with birders) but the ranger told us to try Monday or Tuesday after noon and we were able to choose from 3 open spaces, though only one would have been available for an RV. People in RVs will happily stay for the 14 day maximum, though you can go down the road to the much more remote Proctor campground and wait for a space to open up. Proctor offers dispersed camping, far from the neighbors, but it's lower elevation and in shrubs instead of trees. At Bog Springs, we noticed that the RV next to the toilet relocated to another spot when we were packing up, so it's not hard to get an ideal space if you have time and patience. We only stayed one night and had a great site in the back (sites 9 &10 by the Dutch John Spring trail are tents only). Each site has 1 or 2 picnic tables, fire pits, access to potable water (wonderful!) and ample trees to shade you or to hang a hammock. The campers across the street were camping in the hammocks. As it's getting hot in April in Arizona, it's lovely to be at this camp site that is in the low 80s during the day when it's 90s in Tucson. It dropped to the mid 40s at night, which was perfect sleeping bag weather. In the morning, we were visited by turkeys and deer strolling through.”

“You must visit this park. There were literally hundreds of butterflies everywhere. Hundreds of butterflies in trees and plants. Super cute park with tons of funky pieces of artwork that consist of fused glass and metal. Well worth a 60 to 90 minute stroll. There is also a lovely community garden that we strolled through. Very neat to see all the different types of plants that people are growing.”
