“Headed up here for some fun in the snow. My 4 year old loved it. There are, I believe, 2 snow gates which were both open thankfully. Be sure to bring some snow chains as the weather can change quickly. We brought ours but didn't need them. Theres only one road up and down the mountain. Be prepared”

“We just drove by on our way up to Mt Pinos. Fresh snow on the road. The plow had not come through yet. The campground was closed but people were playing in the snow in front of the gate. Come prepared. Chains required for 2 wheel drive. 4 wheel drive with snow tires ok. Dated 2/2/19. Very cold. Snowing as we left.”
