“Nice enough, although sometimes it gets a little dry and brown. I like it especially in the off hours when it's cooler during the summer.”

“I love hiking Mount Lowe and do so weekly-biweekly. Depending on how late in the day you start you’ll definitely run into some stop and go traffic. For those who dont mind getting down on all four, id recommend Cobb Estate to Mount Echo to Inspiration point to Mount Lowe . In between Inspiration and Lowe is when you’ll need all four. I minus 1 star because there’s always a lot of trash i pick up along the way. I always come with small/medium trash bags and end up filling at LEAST one bag.”

“This trail is fun to hike. Brown mountain has several small peaks. Usually one trail detours the peak and another one goes along the ridge. You can summit all the small peaks. It provides some boulders and great views to each side. Usually we walk from east to west. Going down west is a little difficult because lots of plants and steep slope. But thus adventure will be worth it.”

“Nice, easy and short trail to Eaton canyon fall. It’s mostly under the shadows. When I came in March, it’s totally different story, the water is so full that you need to wet your foot to reach the waterfall. Now, it’s just an hour easy exercise! Glad you still can see the shape of waterfall. Water will be less and less”

“It’s a great time to come now. This year it’s raining a lot so you see lots of flowers which you never see in the last few years. Lots of water and small waterfall at the canyon. You can only see it this year so come to see it before it becomes dry again.”

“great views, steep slopes, narrow trails, sunny trails, not much shade, wear a cap, take water, and watch your step!! release those toxins!”

“Excellent hike. NOT FOR THE OUT-OF-SHAPE. Very steep and beautiful views. Open air. Far enough away yet close enough to still get to from LA. Awe-inducing relics of the past. Over 100+ years of historic landmarks, visages of a railroad and a resort preserved. Well, marked at the top of the Echo Mountain Trail.”

“A pretty awesome place to just kick back relax have some lunch read a book and just get away from life you can either bike ride there or hike. During the winter there is a lot of water streams and during the summer there is a lot of mosquitoes”

“Refreshing hike in Eaton Canyon Falls. Pretty smooth hike, you might need to cross the creek a few times as it rings across the canyon. It’s small enough to effortlessly walk over on stones. We had so much fun. Enjoy!”

“Good, challenging hike. Its about 2.9 mi if you go through walnut trail. Henninger Flats is well kept. Clean area, spacious, and has a great view. The nature center is pretty imformative. Has info about the wildlife in the area, relics and a bit of history.”

“The drive up to the trail was nice, it wasn't crowded that day so we found parking. Dogs are allowed as long as you keep them on a leash.”

“This place is pretty, but be warned, it's incredibly busy. You will be more surrounded by people than nature, and expect to wait to walk up and down particular sections of the hike. The waterfall is nice, but you will have to wait your turn to see it, as most people will be posing in front of it with cameras and selfie sticks. If you feel comfortable with this sort of hiking experience, the hike is low impact and the nature is enjoyable.”

“Such a beautiful place to spend some time. No cell service, forces people to TALK with each other. Great hiking. When the stream is flowing, the sounds are wonderful. Take the time to hike down to the falls. Soak your toes, and forget about the city for a few hours.”

“Prepare to climb uphill for 2.5 miles. I hike once a month and it took us two hours to tackle that incline. Bring food, snacks, etc. so you can enjoy your break when you reach the top. The view of the city is beautiful!”

“This is a great trail. I did it at night on a full moon, it was bright enough that we didn't need any flashlights, which is pretty cool. It's an awesome feeling hiking by moonlight. The trail itself is pretty well maintained and isn't too rough. There are some parts with a lot of rocks on the trail, but it's pretty mild compared to some other trails I've been too. It's not too steep either which is nice, considering it's quite an elevation at the top. It's 3.5 miles to the top, 7 miles round trip. Took us about 2 and a half hours to go up and down. And the view is definitely worth it. There's there ruins of an old hotel and the cable system that brought guests up to the top. Very cool to see that part of LA history. You could see the entire East LA from there. Overall very nice hike, I plan on going again on a full moon.”
