Dave's Hot Chicken is one of the first generation Nashville chicken places. They have also caught the expansion bug and have multiple locations throughout LA. This location on Fairfax is really nice. I can't remember what was here before but I'm pretty sure they built the building for the restaurant and didn't just lease out an existing space. Their chicken is very worthy of a big audience. It is tasty, crispy, and hot. I have to mentally prepare for intense spice but I still enjoy heat with a meal and their hot level did the trick. They have a simple menu featuring three basic combos, sliders, strips or one of each. All at pretty good prices for a fast casual place in LA. If you are on a tour of LA's hot chicken, make sure to stop by Dave's.”

“Finally made it here, as it has been on my list for a long time. Knocked it one star for the gap in expectation vs. reality. We had 4 different sandwiches and all shared, and they were all really good. But I have definitely had better deli. Love that they are open late. Also love the old school decor.”
