“This is a mom n pop hole in the wall gem located in a somewhat sketchy corner. This was my first time here and it will definitely not be my last. DO NOT LET THE AREA SCARE YOU AWAY!! Restaurant itself is small but the food is amazing. If you want to experience an authentic home cooked Mexican meal, come here. The lady preparing my food reminded me of my mom who always wore her typical Mexican apron (mandil) throughout the day wether she cooked or not haha. The cook makes the food to order, you see it and you can taste it. I had the fried tilapia with garlic and huarrache and oh man was I satisfied. 5 stars, I wish this place stays around forever.”

“I ate here for the first time a few weeks ago. Their Chicken Pad Thai was mentioned in the comments more than once so I gave that a try. It was great, I loved the flavors. I ordered it with a large side of rice and it was a lot of food. I would definitely order it again as well as recommend it to others. “I ordered the desayuno típico. I will say the flavor was good and it tasted light / not greasy like a lot of places. My mom didn’t like it as much since she likes this breakfast to taste more “fatty.” To me it was very good and appreciated it not to be greasy felt very homemade. Daily specials, Monday to Friday, can't beat the prices. Portions are big, servers recommendations are BAM, food is off the hook. Breakfast potatoes are OMG!!! Get them!!! Menu is a book!! Would definitely visit again, probably trying the tortas next time :) Pros: - lots of protein options as well as vegetarian, easy to read menu - for the most part easy parking, small lot but street plenty aplenty - flavorable meals - we got the al pastor and carnitas burrito, both were good, a little spicy/salty but it's based on personal preference - chips and salsa were DELICIOUS and fresh - not the cheapest as our burritos were around $12 but it is super filling, I saved a portion for lunch and was still full for dinner Cons: - cash only”

“This place is great! My family, friends and I have been going here for years. It was one of my dad's favorites and he was somewhat of a food connoisseur from Chicago. You are guaranteed to get full here and the price is right! For any of you unfamiliar with the Mongolian bbq, you pick out and load up the food of your choice (meat, veggies, noodles, etc.) and hand it to the cook who walks continuously around a big circular grill, stir frying your personalized meal. The menu has a choice of a one time stop at the grill or you may choose all-you-can-eat. Both options have choices which include other delights such as; soup, rice, eggrolls, fried shrimp, fried wontons, etc. I am a pretty big eater and I just get the one-stop and load it up good, plus it comes with some of the other items, I mentioned, and I am always full. There is also an abundance of a puffy bread that is very good. If you like Thai iced tea, sweetened thai tea with cream, they also have that but you have to ask for it since it's not on the menu. This is a little hole in the wall on the southeast corner of Corbin and Vanowen. There isn't much parking but if you are going to eat there, you are allowed to move the orange cones to park in one of their spaces. The cones are there to save the parking spaces for the restaurant patrons. Give a try. You won't be disappointed!”
