“This is a sister restaurant to Izakaya Osen in Silverlake. The interior design was really nice and the staff were kind and quick to service us. We went this month (February 2023) favorite dishes were the tuna pringles and the ochazuke (rice with broth). We got to try a bunch of nigiris, including a wagyu one with uni. The dessert was pretty heavy but aside from that, I would say it was a pretty good amount of food. This was a great omakase experience but I would say it was a bit expensive for what we got. The dishes were tasty and pretty creative but I had higher expectations for the $190 price tag (we sat by the bar but table seating would be $160).”

“Pepperoni slice - 5 🌟! Cheese slice - 5 🌟! Pizza Cafe LA caught my eye recently and the next time I was craving pizza I headed over. I got there just as they were opening. The owner was there. Very friendly guy who clearly cares a lot about what he is serving. He had recently opened (I think?) and he was chatting with some other guests about reactions to the menu. They have more than pizza and it all looked great but I had gone for the pizza. It was amazing. A great balance of cheese, sauce and crust with some tasty pepperoni on one. If you're in the area or see this spot on a delivery app, give it a whirl. It was a nice discovery and I hope they have many great years ahead.”

“Had found out about Buck Mason’s clothing line by accident when I stumbled across the location on a Sunset Blvd stroll just 2 1/2 months back. Decided to check them out online first and in person today. Was happy with the items purchased and the service provided by Chris. My sweetheart was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, complimentary glass of whiskey and conversation with Chris while I tried on my jeans and henley t-shirt. “Romantic bar/restaurant with outdoor dining patio. Indoor dining is also available. Came here for a friend’s surprise engagement get-together around 8:30pm on a Friday evening and we had a group of around 20 spread across the small tables alongside the wall in the outdoor patio area. Parking was difficult - street parking may be available on the road or you’ll have to search in the neighborhoods. Credit cards are accepted. You order food/drinks at the bar and you’ll receive a number to place at your table. The fries were crispy and a good size for 3-4 people to split. The mac and cheese’s sauce was a bit thin but I liked the baked bread crumbs on top. The calamari was the best thing we ordered and had a mild kick. The fried chicken sliders came in two and were okay. The drinks were more of the main draw, and they do have bottles of champagne available for purchase in case you’re trying to celebrate a special event. Overall, it’s a cute spot to have a date night or go with a big group.”

Marco Polo is attached to the Silver Lake Pool & Inn, and it takes the best aspects of a "hotel bar" and mixes them with the best of a stand-alone restaurant. Let's say it's a hot day and you'd love to dive into a pool for a bit and then grab a couple of cocktails and lounge in the sun. You can totally do that. (There's a two hour limit, I should add, for Marco Polo pool time.) Or, if you want to have a romantic dinner with that Tinder date that's becoming something more, then this is the place for it. The vast majority of seating here is outside. That's mostly good, but can be bad if the weather is less than ideal. (It also means that reading the menu can be a little challenging at night depending on where you sit.) The sweet spot is definitely dusk on a warm day. The menu is seafood-based Italian mostly and everything I've tried is delicious. You can easily share plates with one another so everyone can try everything. The drink menu is exceptionally good, as is the wine list. To be honest, this is where Marco Polo really shines. Grab some friends, order drinks and some apps for the table and enjoy the LA night here.”
