“I love my e-bike!! The team at HPC is so knowledgeable and friendly. I bought my first electric bike with HPC a few years ago and they were so helpful. They made sure it had all the specs I needed to start my off-roading adventures. My first ride in Big Bear was memorable and so much fun. Hoping to upgrade my bike soon and get the new Trailblazer, they look really cool! Great people and awesome bikes!!”

“Luft is a great shop for road and gravel cyclists. I rented one of their Blackheart bikes and is was a killer gravel bike that performed beautifully on the road. Even better, I was able to get one of the employees of Luft, whose name is West, take me on a killer ride. West grew up in Venice beach and was like a historian of the Venice and Santa Monica communities and had lots of cool stories and information to share with me as we road through those two neighbourhoods. Then, he took me up into the Santa Monica mountains for some gravel that was absolutely beautiful. West was an awesome guide and it was an amazing way to spend a day! Thanks Luft!”

“Great vibes for a fun afternoon. We saw people working, playing games, walking by the river. Brunch was tasty and the outdoor seating is really pleasant on a nice day! Order up front and wait for a text. Had to wait a bit for a table to open up on a Sunday afternoon but worth it!”

“Great owner and Very honest. I was building a new Track frame and I had another bike I wanted to swap components (crank) he charge me $5 or less to swap the crank, I also brought a headset I wanted him to install which was $15 and I bought a after market bottom bracket for $25 plus free installation and a KMC chain for the drivetrain for $15. I bought new handle bar grips odyssey for $13. He swapped the rims for free and the stem and handle bars. I thought I need to change the Inter tube for both rims but he suggested to just add air and ride it so I saved money on that. Overall great customer service. There were 3 people in line and it only took 20mins to be my turn. Shop locally to invested in your community.”

“Hi, I am posting this under my boyfriends account. My name is Terri and I am 60, this E-Switchy kit is the best invention. I installed it, took about 20 to 30 min. The most trouble was with placing the display box on handle bar. So easy to use, throttle helps me get up the hills around town. I recommend charging tire and display box first. Then you can install then go. Love it. Recommend it. Thank You”

“If you ever visit this shop they always have an assortment of their beach cruisers in front of the store. Well one day I was there to get a spoke fixed on my fixed gear commuter and I decided to test ride one of the cruisers. I was SOLD! I purchased one few weeks later. This is without a doubt the BEST bike I have ever owned and ridden. So comfortable so fast the one gear that it is set to is PERFECT for flat and medium inclines. With my old bike I would never ride on overcast days only sunny. This cruiser is so much fun to ride that I ride no matter what the weather is. Sitting upright allows me to take in the gorgeous Cali scenery and keep a healthy posture. I will never ride another bike for the rest of my life. And for those who are still riding racer style bikes I have one question for you….what’s the hurry? Get a cruiser and enjoy the ride!!!”

“TLDR: fantastic service and fantastic track bikes. The best you will get in this price range! Long story: I was in need of a new track bike after my precious custom Fuji Track Pro was stolen last week. It was foolishly expensive (~$1500) because building cool and unnecessarily high quality track bikes part-by-part was a hobby of mine 15 years ago. Now though, I just needed something that was decent quality, reasonably priced, and reasonably sexy. I spent a few days looking around on offer up/craiglists/FB marketplace to see what options exist these days. It seemed the sweet spot was between $400-$700 based on things like a new tracklord or used fuji track pro/leader. However the bike that really caught my eye was this weird, seemingly self-made bike called the Raptor (or Cyborg) from SGV bicycles. It had the coolest frame I'd seen in my price range, this awesome 70mm chonker of a rear wheel, and seemed easily customizable to my liking (drop bars, etc). Rather than spend weeks continuing the search for a used bikes (and likely still ending up running into issues with whatever I get) I decided to drive down to SGV (1 hour away) and check it out in person. I was greeted by Zoe at the door who was super friendly. It was a bummer and a little awkward that I had to stand outside, as their showroom is still closed, but she happily tolerated my barrage of questions and brought a Raptor out for me to take a look at. After about 20-30 minutes of discussion--including finding out the frame was designed by Henry's (the other co-owner) brother!--I concluded to YOLO and pull the trigger on the purchase. Henry built it out for me with leader track drops, a 17T cog, and a seat pad at no extra charge. I also added some Wellgo straps for an extra $20. They even worked with me to adjust the seat 5 or 6 times until it was the perfect height. Been riding it every day for a week now and have had zero issues. I will probably replace the pedals with some higher tier sealed cartridge ones soon, but other than that i suspect I'll be riding this thing as is for years to come. Overall I am super happy with my purchase and couldn't recommend SGV or the Raptor/Cyborg more highly! Thanks Zoe and Henry :)”

“I was caught in a jam on a ride. I searched for bike shops in the area as the sun was starting to go down and the thought of having to call a Lyft to pick me and my broken bike up was unsettling to say the least. It was about 15min till close and I spoke with the owner and told him about my situation, he assured me not to worry that they wouldn’t close and would help me out of a jam. Not only did they fix up what was broken he also didn’t charge me. For good karma I threw him a $20 anyways. Good customer service. I”

“I had a great experience at Als bike shop, they were willing to take an old bike to get store credit, and they have so many options. They mostly sell used bikes or bikes that look somewhat new. Overall its a great store and I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs a bike, but does not want to spend so much.”

“very nice and knowledgeable fellows there. went to buy a toddler bicycle there and he stopped his work to share his experiences as a father and as a bike mechanic. I didn't buy anything, because they didn't have what I wanted, but I would 100% go to them again if I looked for a bike for myself.”
