“Parsons Landing is a crazy pretty place to camp. There's pretty much nothing here - just fox boxes, clean pit toilets and fire pits. You can pay to have water and firewood delivered to your site which you should do. Previous campers have made wind shelters out of rocks at every campsite for your fire or to pitch your tent behind. If there's an earthquake you're probably gonna suffer a brain injury but what can you do?”

“This was the best Boy Scout camp my boys went to. The staff was amazing, which is not surprising - I think they have their pick of employees. If you're planning to spend the summer working at a Boy Scout Camp, why would you not choose to do it on Catalina Island? The weather was beautiful, the facilities were slightly better than the other camps, and the range of merit badges was great. This is obviously a good place to work on the water-related badges. The sailing badge, in particular, was a good one to do here. We were there on a pretty windy week, so the kids had a blast with the sailboats. The overnight "war canoe" trip to Parson's Beach was amazing, and the older scouts really enjoyed the Rugged "E" program. Highly recommended.”

“I work there and we work really hard to make the experience something the kids will remember and the programs have a staff that is just awesome! Whether it's Scouting or CEMI, it's a great and safe place for the kids to come and learn something about life, the ocean, and even themselves! :)”

“This Campground was a dream! The grounds have Porta-Potty bathrooms near each section and there is a grill over the fire pits for each camp site as well as a secure metal box to keep food locked and protected from animals. Bison cross through here as well as deer which is beautiful and amazing to see! The communication about what is available was the reason I put 4 stars instead of 5. I had never been to Catalina before much less to this campsite. Myself as well as to others from my party called the office to ask questions about the availability of renting equipment as well as renting a stove and getting firewood Etc we were told that we could rent different things on site. However, when we arrived and went to the trailer to talk with the ranger, he apologized profusely saying that the only thing we are able to get there is the bundles of firewood. He was so apologetic over the miscommunication that he gave us his personal stove and Propane for us to use. I would definitely Camp here again and just know I know what is available and what is not. Bring all of your own stuff and if you need anything you can call ahead and let them know, and pay over the phone and they will deliver it to your campsite before you get there. The only thing that you can purchase on site is the firewood bundles. The water is so clear it's amazing and beautiful. I kept thinking I was in a different country! There's so many different hiking options beautiful! I'm definitely looking forward to visiting again!”

“Great little campground! Much smaller “town” than Avalon. Only 1 store and restaurant/bar. Spots are on a hill. Higher ones more secluded, with panoramic views. Lower ones by water, but more foot traffic. Only boat Catalina Express from Long Beach. Each has a picnic table, fire pit, and metal grill. Snorkeling is a blast. Summer sells out easily. They deliver wood which is nice, because it’s 1/4 mile from stores and dock, so be prepared to carry your stuff over the hill! Review below, to the left and right of picture is the beach 10 steps away, so kind of misleading. Do your research online before you pick your spot. But the company could do a better job of showing you locations and photos of each spot online. The birds and animals are ruthless. Don’t leave your stuff out!”

“Camped here overnight in October. There was logging going on at the first tier of campgrounds. The seconds tier looks nice. There is an open beach shower on a concrete slab, and plenty of potable water. There were big shade trees over most of the camp sites. BJ01 I think, is closest to the Catalina trailhead from Avalon. We would give five stars but the outhouses were pretty stinky and full of flies.”

Gonna be dusty so don't bother wash your car before because it's bound to get dirty. Tons of fun riding ATVs out n about freely with "Enjoy the mountains adventures"”

“Nice place to stay , quite, trails to take a walk, kid friendly, pet friendly, miniature golf , games inside the office. Management is really nice. My favorite is that the bike trails are close by. It's not brand new ,but to have the peace I had, I wouldn't trade it in for anything else. Management is very nice and friendly. Will visit again and recommending to friends and family , we appreciate good customer service.”

“The campgrounds are clean. We did RV camping. It was not full service. They had water to fill up and dump station. It was $20.00 per night. We took our two dogs, they must be on leashes. We had a great experience for our first time. We enjoy the fact you can camp RV and tents on the same area. They have drive through camping sites for boats also. There is an additional fee of $11.00 for parking at the Lake for the day.”

“I've been here about a dozen times. Some nice views, right along the PCT, has fire pits, and a vault toilet AND picnic tables. Sometimes it can be windy. We brought extra rations of soda and snacks for the thru hikers (I believe this spot is around mile 500 from Mexico, on the way to Canada). I was camping in my roof top tent when a bear came through a few of the camps, so you'll want to be aware of that. I had a cooler WITH NO FOOD just plastic water bottles, and the bear still bit into the cooler probably from previous experience assumed food was in there, but it wasn't a big scare or anything. I had heard the bear has been through camp before. I take my 2 and 5 year olds with me each time I camp and they love the area.”

“Camped there last night...they literally just opened the campsite yesterday. Trail is hard to get to. Need a 4x4 or Jeep. Large rocks on the trail in addition to two parts of a rather large tree that fell on the trail. We had to do work to get by...you get the point now on what I am saying. Once we got there the place did not disappoint. Would have given a 5 except for the pesky nats...there were a lot. No problem with wind. It actually died down at night, and picked up in the morning. Still not bad. Plenty of space, shared the campground with all the PCT'rs making their trek. Will definitely head back.”
