“The signage here for train direction isn't as clear as it could be. It would be helpful if they added signs for northbound and southbound. Track 2 for southbound to Union Station or San Diego, etc. Track 1 for all points northbound (toward Van Nuys, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, etc.) Track 1 is the same side as the ticket machine and the parking lot. Note: the parking lot is small and cramped and can get tricky to turn around in. You access it from Empire.”

“Positive: Relatively clean and plenty of parking with reasonable rate, cute bee statue. Negative: No restroom for the public. Although it's understandable why it doesn't have public restroom, it's inconvenient and painful having to hold it when nature calls especially when you need to wait the next bus for more than 20 mins.”

“End of the line station, or first of the eastern most side of LA County Metro Gold Line Stations. This suburban location is a far cry different from the western most side of the Metro Gold Line Stations, which is LA’s Union Station. Whenever I’ve taken the Metro from here, I’ve only initially rode with a few other passengers. Quite a contrast to the reverse ride from Union Station, usually riding back with over 50% capacity. I always enjoy the mountain views along the way, with the occasional parks and scenic neighborhoods. The tricky part is choosing a seat with a good view and the least amount of sunlight, as the train does get busier going west bound, then south out of Pasadena. The reverse easterly ride is trickier, tho if I don’t get a good seat to start, the going gets easier as better seats become available. Parking isn’t a problem on the weekends, tho weekdays can be crowded in the garage. That’s when I’ll opt to park nearby and walk a few blocks. I’ve had pay box problems trying to get the day pass by credit card on more than one occasion, in addition to co-riders who were also attempting to make card payments, only to have to pay cash, then having to receive thirteen dollar coins back in change from a twenty. By the way, there’s no public restrooms here. So keeping the morning breakfast and juicing to a minimum, minimizes to need to make unplanned stops before, during and after the ride!”

“Took Amtrak from LA Union Station to Solana Beach in San Diego. It took about 2 hours and was a pleasant trip! You can purchase tickets online, leave your car at Union Station (I believe $8 all day), and board from the platform onto the second floor (first floor is for handicap and other special exceptions). The train has a bathroom (not the cleanest but not terrible and it has bathroom seat covers so that made it all great), a wall charger for the one sitting closest to the wall, WIFI, the chair reclines, foot rest, and a tray table. The train also has an area you can purchase food and drink from if you need it. It's best to arrive about 15-20 min early to be able to claim a good seat on the train. We chose the window seat to view the beautiful ocean after passing Irvine and the rest of the trip to Solana Beach! The train usher who checked our tickets was super cheery and helpful! He was an older gentleman and very well suited for his job! I heard him let some people know where their exit was and let a family know that a person was leaving next stop and that the ocean view was coming up so he would move them to the window seat to see it all! The only part I didn't like was returning on the train from Solana Beach to Union Station at 7pm-ish and there were about 20+ rowdy and drunk people coming from the horse races. I heard cops were downstairs with them so that was good they were being monitored but they initially walked through the second floor trying to find seats. They were insanely loud and some of them stumbled upon the chairs. I know this cannot be prevented as public transportation includes a lot of inevitable variables. Concerning Union Station, they have a random aquarium near the bathrooms and entrance, it’s gotten semi cleaner but still has urine smell when walking through the halls, and there are plenty staff available to help. Still many homeless inside and outside. But the abundance of staff at Union Station shows some order.”

“I have visited this McDonald's more than I can admit. Lol the coffee is delicious! But they tend to have the BAD habit to always mess up my order , no matter what time I show up there. I am always either missing an item OR given the wrong size. The worst part is arriving at your house and realizing something is missing.”

“Really enjoy coming to the transit center. Seeing all the drivers that have worked here for so many years. And all the new drivers coming along. The thing I love most about the transit here in Santa Clarita.. is that you need the most awesome people on the bus.”

“except at rush hour, Train times are not as often as one could want, but to get downtown & back it sure beats the freeway. Your ticket is good for the subway too. I use it most every time there is a meeting downtown”
