“It's just a view point on the way. There is a little space to pull over your car and walk down the stairs to view the seal lions below on the rocks. It's too far away for a clear view with naked eyes. I could see only 2 sea lions with a binocular. There is a bench to spend some time admiring the view. But I didn't see any trail going down. Maybe it was temporarily closed. You can take a chance here, but overall not very impressive for viewing sea lions.”

Tomales Point

Address: Inverness, CA 94937, USA

“The end to Tomales Point Trail. When the marine layer clears you can see more clearly the Pacific Ocean and the other side of Tomales Bay. The trek here is 4.7 miles one way but you'll see Tule Elk and Wildflowers along the way. Bring an extra pair of socks for those accidental slips in the mud puddles on trail.”

“A nice quick trail to reach the beach. It takes 20 to 30 min and it's adapted for everyone (path well marked, no elevation). You can make a fire on the beach if you get a permit from the rangers before. It's usually not crowded.”

Point Reyes National Seashore

Address: 1 Point Reyes-Petaluma Rd, Inverness, CA 94937, USA

Park

“What an awesome place. First of, you are on the Pacific Continental plate once you cross over the San Andrea's fault. The area is lush and green with dairy farms covering the entire area. On our way to the point, traffic stopped due to cows crossing the road to go back home. I took the opportunity to film and take pictures. On the point is a short walking trail with fantastic views. From there you are able to watch the whale migration (Jan-Apr) if you're lucky. Deer roam the area and elephant seals hang out by Chimney rock in that cove. The beach is beautiful and the sunsets breathtaking.”

“Really enjoyed this little spot. Has a bathroom and a quick path to get down to the water. The water was surprisingly very warm and was comfortable to get into though beware of the slimy sand. Went kayaking and got to see the abandoned ship across the way. Will return went it's not as breezy not sure if it's always breezy in the area.”
