“Boca was a great experience! We stayed at site 16. It had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains, perfect distance from the bathroom, and an amazing spot for stargazing! It’s close to the highway, about 5-7 mins. I didn’t have much phone service at the sight with Verizon, but my partner did with AT&T. I definitely recommend for a quick getaway or family vacation!”

“I was supposed to stay elsewhere one night but my reservation got lost. I booked a night here via a third party site because it had the best rates (that wasn't a sketchy-looking motel). When I arrived, lo and behold, my reservation was technically on the wrong date. (At this point, it was nearly 3am, and I could not check in until 3pm). Cue the EXCELLENT customer service. I was helped by an employee at the front desk named Dana. He was not only incredibly friendly, but extremely understanding and accommodating. He SAVED my evening, my sanity, and my "relaxing" vacation! He saw that there was a room available, got me checked in, and I was able to finally rest after a LONG day of driving from San Francisco to Truckee late at night. He not only helped me snag a room, but he helped me reverse a complicated issue with the third party site (note to self -- call a property DIRECTLY for availability, deals, and more because 3rd party sites take so much from small businesses!). The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I had considered cancelling my booking at the other resort so I could stay here longer...but I will be sure to keep this amazing hotel in mind for a near-future visit. Breakfast and coffee are included, as well as gorgeous outdoor scenery. It is also very conveniently located. Very special thank you to Dana. Your kindness, your professionalism, and SUPERB customer service is what I hope all future travelers get to experience!”

“This place is excellent! The 5-star rating doesn't quite do it justice (I almost feel like we need a 6th star for "Exceptional"!). The room was super clean. And despite all of the snow outside, it was warm and cozy inside. Breakfast was cooked and served by Paul and Mindy themselves and it was fantastic; best breakfast I've had in a while! And the hospitality that Paul and Mindy gave us brought our stay to a whole other level. I highly recommend this place.”

“First time in the area was on vacation. The location was great a lot of things to do nearby the staff was very helpful and accommodating considering I gave them a short notice of my arrival. I have a service dog there was noproblems, the dog area was a clean an large enough to play ball. The RV spot was a little small but quaint was ample enough for my needs I did have a problem with my vehicle they said don't worry I could stay extra nights if need be. They had a nice breakfast on Saturday morning. Overall a great relaxing vacation spot thanks again definitely will return”

“Beautiful sites and scenery. We had a double site for $50 a night. No discounts with passes. I don't see how two campers could occupy that site except for tents ,camper vans, and small motorhomes with no sliders. However, we loved our site with full lake view. Great camp host made friendly rounds and delivered firewood. We did a lot of off road bicycling. People active on kayaks and paddle boards.”

“I could be a little critical of the space we had but we have a triple slide 32” in a back-in site so it’s understandable. Big fan of this campground. Dog area is a hike but it’s HUGE! That’s important to us. They are doing renovations to the landscaping and while it’s not complete it’s going to look great and I can appreciate the effort put into beautification. If we are in Truckee again it’s an easy choice to stay here again.”

“I’ve worked in the hotel industry for years and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this hotel. Check in was friendly. Offered complementary coffee, cookies, and dog treats. Room was nice. Beds were comfy. Only cons was that noise was easily heard through the adjoining door and hallway door and the shower plumbing wasn’t great. The pool was perfectly warm, very nice indoor pool viewing and sitting area. I liked how the gym offered dumbbells and a multi use weight machine, though was very busy on a Saturday morning. Pool and gym towels were well stocked as well as bottles of water in the gym. Had a good assortment of items in the pantry sale area. Breakfast was on the better side, compared to other similar hotels. It was also conveniently located to a a variety of restaurants. Would definitely stay again.”

“The photo is site #27 and it's very close to the water. Many other sites have better shade but a longer walk to the water. I like this campground for several reasons. Close to highway 80 but no road noise at all. It's not too hot in the summer and the lake is a great temperature for swimming. You can ride a dirtbike from camp to the nearby ohv trail system. Lastly, it's just remote enough that you can probably get a site here for an impromptu trip.”

“My wife was a resident at Grand Brook Memory Care of McKinney. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a residential home for their loved one with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. Memory care is all they do and they are very good at it. The facility is warm and welcoming, with nice resident rooms and several pleasant common areas to provide variety. There is a real family atmosphere there, and visitors are always welcome. The staff is very experienced and show real devotion to their work and real care and concern for the residents. They treat their residents with dignity and respect - like family.”
