“It took me awhile to find a good, honest mechanic in Truckee that could work on my '74 F-250 without fumbling around. Rob did a great job, he diagnosed a problem that a previous other shop in Truckee only temporarily fixed by grossly compensating the air/fuel mixture. Rob not only fixed the job right, he also charged less than half what the other shop charged me for not really fixing my truck! My truck is running like a top! I am going to take all my vehicles to Rob from now on, my old Ford and my new Subaru, he can work on them all! I whole heartily recommend A Plus Auto. Not only is Rob a skilled Mechanic, but he has good business ethics and practices. He is honest, responsive, and is of the old school mentality of providing great customer service at all times. It is refreshing to still see a shop that values the customer coupled with real world skill and knowledge that only comes with a career of experience. The only downside to A Plus is that it is a small shop, so do not have the expectation that all the time one can drop something off without notice and get it fixed right away. But, to me that isn't really a negative, one will always know that you will have a experienced mechanic work on your car and not a kid right out of a trade school making $18/hr following a prompt from a computer screen.”

I received a very quick and accurate response when I requested the bid and Patrick spent extra time explaining our options. He also provided the details of how they would complete the project. The crew showed up when they said they would the work was completed on time. They did an excellent job and went the extra mile in a couple of areas. The job site was left clean and tidy. From the perfectly balanced chocolates to the creaminess of the Truckee Trails flavor to the diary free sorbets - every flavor deserves recognition. The mint chip is made with real mint! Current specialty flavor is blueberry honey lavender, but they also have classics like vanilla and spooner strawberry. “We went to Troy with a difficult ask of finding 3/4' Barnwood flooring and blending it to match some existing 3/4" Barnwood flooring already in the house we were remodeling. Where others said, "choose new flooring" Troy went to work with his suppliers and found the product we were looking for. He had Dan pull together the new and old flooring, sanded and re-stained it to match flawlessly! I can't recommend using Donner Tahoe flooring enough for your next flooring project.”

“Radiator hose got a hole while near Truckee, 4 hours from home. AAA tow to Quality Automotive because their website listed Land Rover as a brand they service- and mine is 15 years old. Took a day to get the part, and they did a great job repairing and testing my car to make sure I could make it the 4 hour drive home at night. They even provided a half gallon of extra radiator fluid, which is unique for LRs, in case I needed to cap off on the way. The topper, which prompted me to write a review is that the next day, Maggie texted me to make sure I got home ok, and the car was fine too. Needless to say, I got home fine and after having my Range Rover checked out at my local shop, he said the repair was great and it was good to go.”

“Boca was a great experience! We stayed at site 16. It had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains, perfect distance from the bathroom, and an amazing spot for stargazing! It’s close to the highway, about 5-7 mins. I didn’t have much phone service at the sight with Verizon, but my partner did with AT&T. I definitely recommend for a quick getaway or family vacation!”

“Lives up to the hype! Finally checked out this place and was not disappointed. Arrived just before 12:30 to about ten people already in line and they had already run out of their chicken sandwich special but I wanted the falafel bowl anyway which was fresh and delicious. I added the avocado salsa which I wish was thicker but the taste was great. The outside patio area is great for kids and dogs if you don't mind the occasional sound from the jets which you could still talk over if you spoke loud enough, so it gets a ding for atmosphere because seating inside was hard to get as well, but if you're getting food to go then it's a good option. Plenty of airport parking!”
