Auburn Rocklin Roseville

Mel Hamel Park

Address: 10080 Crocker Ranch Rd, Roseville, CA 95747, USA

Park

“Great Park, especially for meeting up with one or two other families. ● Bathrooms - they're in good shape but needed a clorox wipe-down. Two gender-neutral bathrooms. ● Covered tables... but very limited and all separated, away from each other. Not great for a larger group or a birthday party. People would have to separate into groups to sit at tables out of conversation range. There are also only 2 or so covered tables, so it wouldn't be an ideal park for summertime. ● Possible water feature?? The Tiki thing has a big button like it's a water feature but I did not see any holes for water spray. Maybe it comes out the top? Maybe it's not a water feature at all. If it is, that would raise it a notch for a summer location. ● Water fountain for kids. ● Mid-Size playground. Big enough to accommodate older kids but not one of the big ones as far as parks go. Good enough for a group of mixed ages. It has a good variety of unique play structure pieces, too. ● Alternatively, the property is very large with a lot of grassy open space. ● Sandy volley ball area, great for sand toys! The kids were getting water from the water fountain to add into their play. ● Two baby swings & two big kid swings. ● No designated parking lot, but there is a lot of parking alongside the huge property.”

“I just park a 18 wheeler on the off ramp and walk on over to get the heck out the truck for a minute while hauling food out of US Cold Storage in Sacramento. It is a nice place to get a breath of fresh air when I am to early for my appointment. I can honestly say I would bring my wife and six kids here to play around if we lived in California and not VA.”

Lake Forest Campground

Campground Park Lodging

“What a pretty little Campground nestled in between all kinds of activities including a baseball diamond and a boat launch. The campground itself is kind of quaint and there is a trailer there that looks like it's been there for a while! A nice little change from what you normally see on North Shore.”

Tahoe City Winter Sports Park

Breen Park

Address: 2842 Shelton St, Rocklin, CA 95765, USA

Park

“Great park for kids to play and ride scooters or bikes. I often walk laps while my son plays on the playground in the center. I like how the playground is fairly far from the road. It also has beautiful trees, which shade the play area especially. There are multiple metal picnic tables near the playground. Just know that during soccer season, one or more kids teams will be practicing there after school and on weekends.”

Loomis Basin Community Park (South)

Address: 3550 Ong Pl, Loomis, CA 95650, USA

Park

“My family from the early '80s until '93 , would hold what they called a 'Ball Bash' here every summer. Not only is the park split into two separate sections by King Road, But one of the few parks that actually has a horse corral on the grounds in the Sacramento area. As a kid, my absolute favorite part was walking along the creek that runs through the park, and catching crayfish, and frogs. Probably the best park in the Sacramento area, and unequivocally the best in Placer County for its intended features, and unintended.”

Hidden Falls Regional Park

Address: 7587 Mears Pl, Auburn, CA 95603, USA

Park

“Loved that they had a reservation system, probably kept the crowd down. We enjoyed the amazing trail to the falls area and had fun in the water. The drought made for the falls being very calm, but still beautiful. This is a must stop for anyone who loves waterfalls. The hike was only about a mile and half, but going back, it is mostly all uphill. Bring water, there is water at the start, but nothing after that.”

Cambria Park

Address: 1781 Poppy Field Dr, Roseville, CA 95661, USA

“Great little gem of a park. It had a great playground for both older kids and toddlers. The basketball courts are well maintained. It has some great space for other activities like frisbee or soccer.”

Summerhill Park

Address: 648 Granada Pass Dr, Roseville, CA 95678, USA

Park

“It's an ok park. It doesn't stand out in any way and the only things in it are a small playground as well as a had basketball court. The wine thing I like about it is the trail that is on the side of the park.”

Recreation Park

Address: 123 Recreation Dr, Auburn, CA 95603, USA

Park

“Lots of free parking. Large covered picnic table area, huge grassy area, bathroom had decent running water and soap, great play area with sand pit and multiple sized slides. Part of the playground is wheelchair accessible to go up a ramp to the steering wheel. Unfortunately the rest is not and even one of the medium sized slides you need to climb up a ladder or plastic rocks to access. Had a very high slide so good for bigger kids too! Two normal sling swings and two baby swings, no handicap accessible swing. Very nice place to take kids for play or lunch.”

False Ravine Park

Address: 2861 Carradale Dr, Roseville, CA 95661, USA

Park

“Great trail. Not a park in the normal usage of that word in suburbia! It's a paved trail through woodlands, open space, and backing onto some household yard fences. You can get on and off trail at many places and its much better than doing walks on neighborhood streets.”

Granite Bay Community Park

“This is a nice park and very clean . I would highly recommend coming here with your dogs and family.”

Vencil Brown Park

Address: 260 Trestle Rd, Roseville, CA 95678, USA

Park

“I have driven by this park a dozen times on my way to work and never given a second thought. My son started playing in the Roseville Little League and it has become 1 of the 2 practice fields, and now I don't think there's another field I'd want to practice at. Very convenient as to the parking and the traffic through the area has always been light.”

Coyote Pond Park.

“Beautiful park with nice trails and a lovely pond. Cute little playground. The neighborhood seems to frequent it daily. Lots of wild things here: quail, bunnies, water fowl, turtles 🐢 basking on logs in the water & lots of little reptiles too 🦋🐞🐍🦎”

Homewood Mountain Resort

Address: 5145 W Lake Blvd, Homewood, CA 96141, USA

Park Restaurant

“This review is more for Lou - ski instructor! Homewood itself is also very very beautiful -- I was there end of season when a lot of the slopes were closed -- I'd like to go back earlier to take in full majesty overlooking Lake Tahoe. Lou is amazing! I feel like I got 10 lessons in one I learned SO SO much. His calm demeanor made me feel assured when we moved to (at my request) more advances slopes. I cannot recommend him and his style enough - thank you so much! Can't wait to come back.”

“We came to "DUMP DAY." We dumped boards, & a fan. It was extremely well organized. Check points every few feet to ensure stuff was going to proper dump pile site.
