After perusing the local thrift stores and Antique Treasure Trove, I decided I would try one more shop in my search for a hard to find book that had become outrageously overpriced online. They features lovely mixed drinks along with a full wine selection. For the entree, they offer various meat dishes, which are decent, but nothing to write home about, and notably did not offer the dishes that my family had a craving for from a previous visit. It is noticeable that many restaurants in the village are understaffed, and this restaurant is no exception. Unfortunately, it seems like the choices and quality of dishes are also affected as a result.”

“Our base camp during white water rafting trip at the American River. Clean and well kept hotel. No pool at the moment but look forward to being done on my next visit. “The location is great, quick access to the main road but still finds tranquility. 30 minutes drive to Sand Harbor. I stayed upstairs @ the forest view 3 cabin for 2 nights, got a peek-a-boo view to the lake, cabin was nicely finished but the bathroom is due for some maintenance. The wall heater in the bedroom was noisy, light sleeper beware. The cabin didn't have a hair dryer, bring your own if you need one. Bring your own cooking oil if you plan to cook, the cabin only provided the spray on cooking oil.”
