“My go-to running place. Love that the officers have been there a lot in the last few years, I'm guessing mostly to protect the governor, but it is nice to know they are there. I feel safe and the workout area is nice. Great for trail running and hills. 1 mile down the paved bike trail is the sunrise footbridge. Lots of people fish there and hang out at the water.”

“Quaint, quiet park nestled along Lake Michigan. I came in late fall (Oct 30th) to star gaze, but this would be a nice park in summer, with 600 feet of sandy beach, nice waves, and old-school, playground equipment. Like a 30-year step back in history.”

“This is a nice park to bring your children and walk your dogs around. Sadly I give this only 4 stars because they made the Merry go round pretty safe compared to other older ones. Unfortunately this one is built to go slow and not fling you off potentially giving you brain damage. But then again that is where most the fun comes from.”

“This park is one of my favorites, plenty of parking, benches, shade, and room for whatever activities you can think of. There are two separate play structures, one for smaller children/toddlers with a thick rubber ground cover and a shade structure with picnic tables. The other play structure is more for elementary to middle school aged children with a decent sized area and connected structures for the kids to play on however it does accommodate toddlers with the normal toddler swings as well as 4 normal sized swings with wood chips as a ground barrier There is a large open grassy area wrapped by a concrete sidewalk with plenty of trees to provide shade in one area and benches to stop and rest or just enjoy the open feeling. the pathway passes both play structures great for doing laps with bikes, dogs, jogging, circuits, etc... Overall a great place to take the kids, create a workout routine, or just relax and read a book.”

“This park is beautiful and in great condition. There is an outdoor set of marimbas and drs for kids to make music and it actually sounds really beautiful. In March, there is a field of flowers on the east side that is great for taking photos of your kids!”

“Gracious and friendly folks. You will not regret a visit. We spent a few days in early October 2016 when the breeze was a bit chilly. However the trees and structures around the pool blocked the wind thus providing a glorious sun bathing time. The friendly people made Laguna Del Sol a place we will unquestionably return to soon. We were welcomed into their homes like longtime friends. Hot tube and poolside conversations made us feel at home. Early October brought out the flies- they were everywhere- which was our only complaint but not a fault of the resort. Our park model that was clean, well-stocked for cooking and close to all the resort amenities. We had most meals in the restaurant. The food was delicious with portions large enough to share. The restaurant features a full bar. The huge property has a nature trail to the Cosumnes River which wasn’t flowing at the time but had many pools of water to splash around in. A highlight was the Saturday night dance where the music pulled you to the dance floor. It was a sad moment watching Laguna Del Sol fade in the rear-view mirror.”

“The kids had a blast this last Saturday! There were deer out and wild turkey wondering around. The weather was amazing! We walked the nature trails and seen a buck, many doe's, Turkey's, and hawks. Let the kids have a rock throwing contest to see who can throw the furthest in the river! My grandson is almost 4 and he had so much fun! The nature center was open, but it does close at 2PM and remember to bring your masks. After the nature walk we drove to the picnic area ate lunch and the kids broke up in to teams and played football. Recommend you make a day of it and bring lunch and have fun!”

“This is a gorgeous lakeside setting that often goes all summer without the mosquitoes finding it! There are wide open spaces for people to run around & play or picnic. The paved bike trails through the woods circle around Goose Lake. A few years ago I almost ran into a large black bear right on the trail just a few yards from one on the busiest roads in town. It's a great place to just get away for a little while. If you're a geocacher, this is a great setting, with still plenty of room to hide more!”
