“Went here a decade ago on a field trip with my whole grade level in elementary it was amazing. I still miss the Termite Cabin Crew ,Paul was awesome even when I had nosebleeds all the time he was chill about it, along with Quinn our nature explorer teacher. His sign to tell him we’re bored in his lessons actually helped me through stressful times in Highschool. The one thing I don’t miss is knowing the Cobra cabin still has showers they used up all the hot water. Wish I knew if both of them still work there and if anything changed.”

“Had a lot of fun with my group of friends here. The road to get here is a bit rough though. About a mile or two of dirt road to get to the campsite with lots of rocks. A FWD can make it up, just have to drive really carefully! Definitely would bring an SUV or Truck if you can though. Once you get to the campground though, you and your group will be far enough from other campers not to really be bothered by anyone. There are lots of trails you can explore yourself just by walking around the campsite with lots of shade. *Be warned though, we did see a bear both mornings we were here. Make sure to take advantage of the bear boxes provided.*”

“We loved the few days we spent here camping,we're a family of 5 and had plenty of space to ourselves and away from other campers at site 14. Our site had a bear box, fire ring and picnic table. The campground had water stations and trash bins along with vault toilets which were very clean. The camp host was very nice and checked on us a few times to see if we needed fire wood. Great experience and campground with lots of shade with alot of trees for your hammock and space for a large tent. We will Definitely be going back.”

“We brought our Girl Scout troop here in May of 2017 and had a fantastic time. It was a huge plus for us tired leaders as all the activities and meals were led by the staff. We got to participate and enjoy all the programs with our scouts. All of the staff were so nice and it felt like we were part of a big family. The lodgings were comfortable and the surroundings beautiful. Our girls loved the archery, ropes course, craft time, fishing, fencing, hiking and more. I highly recommend this for troops wanting a weekend camping experience with all the tradition but none of the hassle. A great price for all that is included.”

“Great place for a group to camp. Up side is we were pretty much by ourselves, nice tenting areas, nice picnic area. flush toilets. Downs were no showers, pretty pricey, and dust dust dust. ;)”

“Beautiful and clean campground. One of our favorite places to camp.”

“Nice secluded campsite, very scenic and plenty of room for the whole family or group to spread out. The road up is rough, so you should probably be driving an SUV or truck to get here. Four Stars instead of Five because the toilet on site was overdue to be pumped out, so it was quite "ripe". Bummed that no campfires or charcoal were allowed (late July) but I understand. Also, three large bear boxes were provided, so evidently somebody was listening to Mr. Chen's review”

“Dirt road rough. But beautiful place. Lots of spots. When you pick a spot I recommend sitting for a minute cause lots of bees in same spots.”

“This spot a few miles up the dirt road from Heart Bar is a beautiful place to spend the weekend. It's not the cheapest campground (especially with so many free Yellow Post sites on the way there), but it is the best spot for a breathtaking view, a lot of space, and a toilet (although with the number of flies in the outhouse I would almost prefer squatting in nature). It's situated atop the Coon Creek Jumpoff with a spectacular view of the Coachella Valley, and the Pacific Crest Trail passes right by -- these are good things, but they do make for quite a few strangers passing through or parking at camp each day, which is a minor annoyance. Overall, it's an excellent choice for camping with a group out in the SB National Forest.”

“Love San Gorgonio! Best campground. We've been going there for about 30 years. Eric the host is awesome! It's a good family campground.”

“Mile High Pines was so great! The campground was beautiful. They had multiple activities such as rock climbing, zip lining, a pool to swim in, a set up to play 9 square (which is so fun btw). Meals served were delicious, especially for going to camp. Lunch and dinner were my favorites. I will say, take cushioned blankets or a nice thick sleeping bag because the bunk cots are really thin mattresses. That would be my only suggestion if you are concerned about comfort. For kids and younger adults they probably won't be an issue, but I'm a mom, and 29 years old. Even though that's not old, my back was still really hurting in that bunk lol I had a great time though. It's perfect for being in nature, while still having comforts of home. Would definitely recommend 👌”

“Beautiful place to camp with a cool, clear, running spring. I backpacked in from Hwy. 38 and saw a number of Pacific Crest Trail thru hikers who also spent the night there. There are some metal horse corals, a few with shade and a gravity fed water trough on the others side of the campground. I came back and stayed 3 nights in July and there was still water in the springs and a lot of wild flowers everywhere.”

“My family came back with all smiles and great stories about Camp Tahquitz. They arrived home with their invitee paperwork and are excited for future days at Camp Tahquitz. Thank you for making the sign up/pre-work for camp seamless and the week at camp for the scouts exciting, challenging and fun. I kept telling our adult leaders "I think this is going to be an easy and fun week at camp, they seem very flexible and organized". Our adult leaders really appreciated and enjoyed your hospitality and the excitement and buzz of the staff at camp. Thank you for delivering!”

“An awesome group campsite. Very secluded and can fit up to 40, we had about 15 people and there was plenty of space. The road into the campsite is a bit treacherous and def needs a high clearance car as it is quite bumpy. Takes about 20mins from the main road. Definitely recommend this site to groups.”

“This is a Methodist run camp we teach at each summer. It is in the mountains not too far from Big Bear lake. This year the new director has things ship shape. The environment is peaceful and beautiful. If you get an opportunity to visit for a retreat or conference make your best effort to do so. It is worth the effort.”

“Camp hosts were great. They run a tight ship. Which is awesome. The rules are given to you after they check you in. It makes it easier so everyone is on the same page. It was quiet and clean. Showers were immaculate and so were the toilets. Make sure to grab firewood at the general store before you get up there. Just follow the rules and you shouldn’t have any issues. It helps for a comfortable stay for everyone.”

“Apple's and berries with a rough road. This historical area has to do with the early days of roads to the mountain. The McHaney brothers, James and William built a cabin on Deer Creek in 1876. Later the site of Clark's Ranch. The well-beaten foot path for miners and anglers passed this area in the very early days of mountain exploration. Hiram Clark of Clark's Ranch and 13 Redlands business men incorporated the Bear Valley Redlands toll road company. Clark homesteaded 160 acres in 1892 at the cabin built by the McHaney brothers and stayed for many years. This site is located on the north slope of the Santa Ana Canyon, about 3 miles west of Seven Oaks.”
