“We ordered our food to go, it was ready very quickly! I also ordered a couple margaritas, they were thoughtful enough to put the ice in separate cups as to not water down my drinks. My husband waited in the car with our children when I went in to get our order and the gentleman who took our order walked me to the car as he carried most of our order and helped me into my car. The other staff were also very cheerful and welcoming. To top it off, the food was delicious! My husband and I already plan on coming back during our future visits to Big Bear!”

“A great Christian church to visit while in Big Bear! All are welcome and it is a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I love the down to earth and encouraging messages by Pastor John Dunn. The praise and worship is excellent with a great contemporary sound that ushers you into the healing presence of God. People are prayed for and touched by God at every service.Kid's church is creative and fun. And....free donuts and coffee are served every week!!! Love this church!”

“The only boat rental on Big Bear Lake open this late in the season, they were super easy to work with and extremely pleasant and helpful. We were able to take one of their pontoon boats out for about two hours and enjoy the scenery of the lake. The water is lower this time of year so just stay towards the middle of the lake to avoid hitting things. Overall a great experience. Was a little surprised that they didn't require flotation vests or indicate on the boat where they might be stored.”

“This place is amazing. We recently rented some boards and skis for my kids. One of them only skied one day, so we returned one set of boots and skis. Turns out, we accidentally returned the wrong set of boots. Get boards met my husband at the ski lodge with 2 sets if boots to guarantee they had the right size to exchange and they got there quickly in the middle of huge crowds and major traffic. They are incredible. Highly recommend. We will be using them on our next ski trip!”

“Always cpme here to rent. Its fast to sign waiver, pay, and rent your boots/helmet/snowboard. Its really close to snow summit so that is a very very big plus in my opinion. The prices are nothing special, relatively the same as others in the area. The guys there really know what to give you and usually give you tips for carrying or skiing which is nice. Also have retail in case you need a jacket, helmet,etc.”

“The room was pleasant as described; non-smoking upon entry. The view to the lake, through the window was remarkable. The service clerk was very helpful, courteous, accommodating and showed that he cared about his customers. Even the doublebed sized bedroom had enough space and a microwave and fridge. The king sized bedroom has a decent kitchenette with basic kitchenware to make you feel right at home and cook away. The fireplace worked well and warmed up the front room. The bathrooms were also nice and sanitized. Overall, our family was satisfied and would return for another weekend stay.”

“The food is amazing, very nice and big portions that taste amazing. The ambiance is super nice and cozy, super special for dinners. A nice place to have a birthday/romantic/normal dinner. Its fancy but not suuuper fancy. The prices are surprisingly low for a restaurant of this caliber and portions. The only issue I had was with reservations but that is what usually happens with great restaurants like this one.”

“Bear Valley Overland got me in on short notice. They installed a set of airbags on my rig. While it was on the lift they did a complete inspection and pointed out several areas of vulnerability. One of those being the front drive shaft. Within 2 days it failed and I was back in the shop getting it replaced. They provide fast service at a good price. I highly recommend you chek them out.”

“Given that the Big Bear area has more people selling woodworking items than any town I've seen before, I was a bit skeptical about wandering over to Todd's shop where he sells items made by both him and his wife. Man, was I glad I did. :) So unique, so cool.......the items all have a flair that I haven't seen anywhere else, and knowing that the two of them made everything makes it all that much cooler. The prices are beyond reasonable, and next time I'm up the hill, I'm definitely going to stop by the shop to see what he has. Way to go, Carter's Cabin Decor! You've got a customer for life!! :)”

“My girlfriend and I had one of the best weekends (and Christmas) of our lives here! We stayed in the Honeymoon Haven cabin which was homey and cozy! The kitchen was great to make our Christmas breakfast. The staff and manager was quick to respond by text and came to fix the oven. We loved the fireplace and it was actually nice to use our own sheets- felt like our own little home. Great value for the price. The bathroom was cold so bring a robe. We will definitely be coming back!”

“Get Boards shop is a good place to rent your kayaks from. The Boulder bay park next to this shop is a great place to kayak and enjoy the lake. The staff is very helpful and will answer any questions you have happily. I’ve had great experiences with the owner himself of this location as well. He is a very helpful guy and he wants people to enjoy their vacation here as much as humanly possible. Enjoy your time kayaking!”

“Very nice place to stay at when it’s covered by snow. Not too much cold as I expected, but enough to hold a snowman stand still for a week 😀. Fire pits, dining area, whole kitchen, a small church like those in the monasteries of the Egyptian deserts. One floor and two floor cabins. A very different experience, and I definitely recommend it, for a small or a big number of people.”
