“Great historical landmark in Big Bear, the new owners have done a ton of improvements to the property and obviously care to preserve it for future generations its available for weddings or other functions as well as a get a way weekend with or without the kids easy walking distance from the Village shopping and restaurants and only a couple blocks from the lake. Close to all the action but still quiet enough to fully relax and recenter. Definitely recommend checking this place out.”

“Great tour of big bear lake, couldn't really hear the captain telling us the history cause it was loud inside. It was very relaxing though to just cruise on the lake, boat wasn't full so had roon to move around. Staff was friendly, and price for trip and snacks inside are good. Could use some AC inside during hot summer days though. Overall nice experience.”

“We book here to be close to Snow Summit for skiing. The location is perfect - there was a 3 ft wall behind the unit (we had #120) you can hop over and chair 1 is about 60ft away! Checkin staff were super friendly and helpful. Only negative is the unit it’s self is very dated, but had everything you’d need and was comfortable. The complex is huge so I’ve attached a map so you can try get one near the slopes. They also back onto the forest so loads of places for snow play.”

“We've stayed in this house multiple times and it is a perfect way to experience Big Bear. Views are amazing. 200 yards to a hiking/running/mountain bike/cross country ski/snowmobile trail head that gives you 50+ miles of trails and all types of terrain to explore, including some huge rock formations that kids love to climb on. It isn't ski-in/ski-out, but I've snowboarded down to Big Bear Mountain from the house on days it dumps. Hot tub is huge, with a great view of the lake & slopes. The front/approach to the house isn't all that which is probably why it is in such great shape as it doesn't look like the traditional BB faux log cabin, but the inside & layout & deck are all first class.”

“Pastor Eric is awesome and everyone there is equally helpful. Thursday food pantry is a blessing to our community 🙏 Especially now our economy is at a low point. If your hungry on Thursday they also serve you a meal , coffee and usually some kind of pastry too. People also donate clothes, shoes assorted items.”

“Small portion so that is why I gave 4 of 5 stars. Flavors are very good and delisious. $44 for two people for 3 tiny dishes and we didnt even order drinks. Life is expensive when you are a tourist I guess”

“I've used Best Windows & Doors twice at my cabin in Sugarloaf. First, they replaced a back door for us, we had them add an extra large dog door I had purchased, as well as a window to the door, they worked with me to ensure the measurements would be correct as to not compromise the structure of the door, and that door truly turned out to be one of our (and our dogs') favorite parts of our remodel. I don't have any "before" shots of the back door, just two "after" photos. It is a quality door with everything we needed, it was installed properly, framed well. About a year later we decided to update our windows. I do have some before-and-after of the windows (the old silver framed, and the new black-framed windows). Again, quality work by a quality company. Everyone at Best has been courteous and a joy to work with. I particularly enjoyed getting to know my window installers, Jeremy and Matt. They are great people, very hard-working, they pay attention to details, they are super courteous, and they just do fantastic work. I highly recommend Best Windows & Doors in the Big Bear area. Special shout-out to Jeremy, he is a class act, he works super hard, and he makes sure you're happy with everything. Thank you, Jeremy and everyone at Best!”

“Tina Y was one of the most amazing & tenderedhearted medical personal I have ever met. I took a trip to big bear last month December 17-19 2023 & during my visit to the ER Tina constantly checked on me & made sure I was comfortable whether it was offering me a blanket, asking if I was okay or feeling better, offering me jello or water & simply just had such a sweet & pure personality and cheerful. The whole staff was amazing overall just Tina really stood out to me. She’s definitely in the right profession & my bf and I both could tell she truthfully cares for others. She is both sympathetic & empathetic. I never write reviews & I made an account just to write this & even though this was a month ago I promised I would share my experience with her because I want the staff & others to truly know how amazing Tina is & how her work & genuine care doesn’t go unnoticed . Thank you Tina ! I felt like I was being cared for by mother ”

“Our stay at the Goldmine Lodge was lovely and so much more than expected. We were offered an upgrade to a 2 room suite which included a kitchen area, rustic living room with wood burning open fireplace and separate bedroom with 2 comfortable double beds. The furnishings and design accessories were cozy and charming. It was all very clean. The shower was nice and hot! The garden was a good place to watch birds (why we were in Big Bear) and equipped with barbecue grills. The location on Moonridge Rd. was lovely and near the ski area. It was a short drive to good restaurants, gas and our bird watching.”

“Camp Shape is amazing! My daughter spent 2 weeks building healthy habits, learning about proper nutrition, learning how to prepare her own healthy meals, and making new friends. She went on hikes, went swimming, and learned new exercise routines that she can now do by herself at home. On top of all that, the campers did fun activities like going to the movies and bowling! She had a blast! We are very thankful to all of the amazing counselors at Camp Shape!!!”

“We've always wanted to vacation in Big Bear Lake and came across Big Bear Escapes. From the first moment it was a great holiday. We had booked the Bear Paw Cabin and were thrilled with the loving but also practical furnishings and the great location. The welcome basket was put together very nicely. The fact that we felt at home was not least due to our wonderful host Doria. She is great, helpful, always available for questions and requests and just totally in her element. We will never forget the vacation, would love to come back and can absolutely recommend it. Thanks again to Doria!”

“My husband and I stayed in Cabin 20 this past weekend and had a fabulous time. The temperature in Big Bear was exceptionally hot, but before we checked in Loraine had gone up to the cabin to ensure all the blinds were closed up and had the window AC unit on ready for our arrival. We enjoyed the close proximity to the Village, and our cabin (being higher up on the hill) even had a peekaboo view of the lake. Definitely recommend choosing Cabin 20 since it is up higher than the rest and thus provides a little more privacy. The in-cabin jacuzzi is a huge bonus! The cabin also has a fireplace with complimentary wood that they provide—it was a little too warm this weekend for us to use, but would be a great amenity for the wintertime! We’re looking forward to coming back.”

“This has to be one of the best times I’ve had! Tyler is an incredible guide. Besides showing us how to climb the rocks, he would point out landmarks, types of foliage, and historical facts. I couldn’t imagine a better guide. We did the 4 hour trail and the time flew by.”

“We had an amazing time tonight. The horses are well feed, hydrated, groomed, calm and content. It really bothered me when a person screamed out their car window that horses pulling a carriage is animal abuse. I have been around horses and other farm animals my whole life. Those beautiful clydes are VERY well cared for and even had nice trimmed hooves with horse shoes. The people were so warm and kind to us. They even let a little girl from the family before us ride up front. This was my mom's first time riding in a carriage and she had an amazing time. The village was lit up and we even stopped to star gaze by the lake for a little bit and showed us Satern and Jupiter as they are overlapping eachother for the first time in about 800 years. It was the perfect Christmas season experience. Please do not be discouraged by some of these crazy comments made by selfish and stuck up people. They may not answer the phone like they work at some doctors office but they are very kind, thoughtful, and take very good care of their horses. Thank you again!”
